pAfter an article came out in Indianapolis reviewing the current regime’s first round draft picks, Kayshon Boutte was shocked to find himself as a “meh” compared to every other pick receiving a “hit” besides him. Boutte didn’t take to Twitter, he didn’t request more playing time, he just got to work. He knew that it didn’t matter that the Colts’ official depth chart listed him as the wide receiver 2. He and Michael Pittman were equals and wide receivers 1A and 1B. He set out to prove that and remind people what he did his rookie year and that last year was a fluke that was only a down year because of a 2-month injury.p
pHe has silenced the critics as in just 2 games since that article was released, he’s put up 6 receptions for 184 yards and 8 receptions for 173 yards and 2 touchdowns respectively which is more yards and receptions than Brock Bowers and Michael Pittman combined over the 2 game stretch. The Colts’ offense is clearly high powered with an A+ receiving threat everywhere you look.p
pBoutte is now a bonafide superstar (although he may be just a star again very soon) in the league and a true threat that teams will have to gameplan for going forward. He is most certainly a “hit” now making the Colts’ front office truly look like one of the best in the game. Time will tell if he can keep up these insane numbers, but he has definitely established himself as a guy who can go off on any given Sunday.p
