Overreactions & Reality Checks for PML
Arod
AFC North may not be the worst division in PML
Reality or Overreaction: Reality
The AFC North is made up of Mali (30), Curt (31), Arod (32), and Goose (36). According to the PML coach rankings, they collectively sit at a 32 average on the list. We’ve taken a lot of slack, jokes, and shots as a group and the cycle hasn’t even started. The best one was us sending a 5 win team to the playoffs. Haha you all crack me up sometimes. However, flying under the radar of ‘bad divisions’ is the NFC East. The group consist of Burn (22), HD (27), Drama (28), and Vet (34). The group as a whole has an average ranking of 28. Not that we put too much weight on these rankings, but additionally no team from either division made the playoffs last cycle. Not calling one division better than the other, but as bad as the AFC North may be, the NFC East is not far behind.

The co-commish rotation was a positive move for PML
Overreaction or reality: Reality
Now I am sure many of us including myself raised an eyebrow when it was announced HD and Nef would be joining the commish team. I have a few points to justify they were the right members for the job. First of all, I know both of them deeply care about the league and will protect it with all they have. That is a no-brainer, and that is the type of users we want in PML, and most definitely leading us. Both members, over the course of the past few cycles raised themselves to a new level of maturity. If you asked me 2 years ago I would have thought there was no way either of them should have a drop of responsibility in PML. Today can honestly say both have grown and matured beyond the negative behaviors they displayed day in and day out. Shout out to both on the gig, the growth, and the dedication. Ya both have my stamp of approval.

AFC West is the Best Division in PML
Overreaction
The AFC West could eventually be crowned the best division, but out right naming it as such at the beginning of the cycle is an over reaction. I think most coaches would assume on the surface level that having 4 SB winners in a division would give it the clear claim of being the best. However, I’d argue that not a single coach in that division is “feared” off the strength of their coaching prowess. If… and a big IF these coaches were ever feared it was because of their team out the box or the cheese they were willing to run on a consistent level regardless of how the league felt about it. AFC West division might have former champions but it has been whispered that without certain abilities, a dominant defense out the gate, or half the league being on vacation off and on that these coaches might not have even won one. The chargers and chiefs organization are led by dominant QBs, so these two coaches once again have been spoon fed a glorious PML situation. The Raiders and Broncos have a steep hill to climb and only time will tell if their respective coaches are up for the task. AFC West is NOT the best division (yet)… it’s jus 4 guys who have had it easy over the past Madden cycle.

Justin Jeffereson Will Be Resurrected
Reality or Overreaction: Reality
With a new coaching staff and scheme on its way to Minnesota look for Jettas to be back in the limelight. We all saw what Wimmy was able to do with Scary Terry. He now has another premier wideout. It’s exciting to know that one of real life’s best wide outs will be showcased within our ranks again. Will it be enough for the Purple People Eaters to once again be a premier organization? We shall see.

Falcons and Coach Nef will win NFC South
OVERREACTION
PML’s NFC South features JT as the Panthers, Cammy as the Bucs, JC as the Saints, and Coach Nef as the Falcons. Nef recently won the league poll for who PML thinks will be S1 most improved, but I am not sold yet. I believe this division is vastly improved in terms of the coaches leading them. Both Cammy and JC are coming off AFC Championship appearances, while Nef struggled to make the playoffs in his division. While I think Atlanta has a very talented roster, I I think Nef will do well, I think both Cammy and JC are dark horse candidates out of the South. I believe JC has been criminally underrated, after debatably having the best full cycle of the AFC South last season and now has a perfect opportunity to prove many coaches wrong.
Jets are Super Bowl contenders
REALITY
Hometown talent Greeny is now the Head Coach of the New York Jets. Greeny caught fire late in the cycle with a Falcons team he built through content. Now he gets a Jets roster that is ready to contend with studs on defense like Sauce and Quinnen, and then the Superstar QB with velocity abilities in Mr Discount Double Check, Aaron Rodgers. The biggest issue with the Jets roster is that the Super Bowl window is right now. After season 1 Rodgers may choose to retire, or take a big ratings hit. But as we have seen last cycle, Greeny will do enough content that may make them a juggernaut for seasons to come. And as long as he stays away from the ayahuasca I believe Greeny has the ability, and the roster to make a push at a championship this season.

AFC North will finish under .500
Reality or Overreaction: Overreaction
AFC North is a division with users that PML members wouldn’t exactly call contenders. Each of the 4 users were ranked at the bottom of PML’s coach rankings. Mali(30), Curt(31), Arod(32) and Goose(36).But with it being a new cycle all these users get a fresh start. Each user is taking off with a great team that has many key pieces. Starting with Goose and his Bengals. He has a high powered offense with a franchise QB in Burrow. HB Mixon. And weapons in Chase, Higgins Irv Smith JR. And Please use A.I this time! On defense he got Hendrickson, Reader, Awuzie , WIlson and a good amount of rookies to content up. Arod and his Ravens. Not much he doesn’t have. Lamar, OBJ , Andrews a Oline. And defensively he is stacked with impact players at every level all pretty young. Curt and his Steelers. Offensively Pretty young . He’s got Kenny 2 gloves for QB still pretty raw. But Harris, Johnson, and Pickens will help out. Defensively Watt, Heyward, Minkah and Pat P will hold it down til younger guys get deved up. And last we go Mali and the Browns. He gets Watson to take command of the offense and guys like Chubb, Cooper, DPJ, Nojoku and Moore to attack the field with and defensively he’s got Garrett,Smith, Ward Newsome and Delpit to make plays. I definitely can see 2 teams in the division making a run at the playoffs as long as these guys play within themselves and don’t yeet and cover 0 blitz every play.

Zeattle wins NFC West
Reality or Overreaction: Reality
Well it pains me to say this. Seattle will win the NFC West division. He has been one of the most consistent PML users over the last couple cycles. He knows his play style and rarely gets away from it. He is starting out this cycle with a better version of the team. Geno at QB will be just enough for 1 season. He will use both walker and Charb behind a much needed Revamped Oline. And DK,Lockett and his new weapon in Njigba will soften up the defense for the run game. Defensively He has the return of Bobby who still is a solid LB in Madden. He’s got Woolen the glitch at db with Adams and Diggs over the top. And Linebackers Brooks Bush to help Bobby lay the boom in the middle of the field. The weakest part of the defense is the Dline. The division is filled with top users but Z wont take anyone lightly. Playing top users is what Z does best. He rises to the challenge. Rams and Cards could be in rebuild mode from the Jump. The only team that is solid and set would be the Niners. But with that being said CEO had a very up and down cycle and seemed to struggle with his QBsssssss. NFC West Champs Zeattle. Heard it here 1st !

The Afc South won’t be relatively close for the first 2 seasons
Reality or Overreaction: Reality
I know it sounds crazy with the cycle I had last cycle but im calling my own shot, when I say not relatively close I mean that I plan on winning the division by at least 3 games for the first 2 seasons. I don’t really mean too much disrespect but first off i feel like i’m the best coach in the division off rip and when you add that I have the best team..I really have no choice but to dominate while these teams are trying to catch up. Dlloyd is starting with a bottom 5 roster along with the Teaxns so it’s really now or never because we know both of these coaches bring in 50 points a week d*** near. Overall, I plan on playing more complete football from start to finish instead of trying to have fun airing it out, in all aspects I plan on being better which is going to make life h*** for my division mates. I feel like by season 3 everybody will have their young pieces built up and ready to go but until then everything runs through the crib.

The Afc West will not send 4 season 1
Reality or Overreaction: Reality
When Jt put 4 super bowl winners in the same division he knew exactly what he was doing with the toxicness and competitiveness for the next 10 months. He also knew that beating up on each other would result in bad records in missing the playoffs which is not the norm for these guys. Jt did a great job of making conferences even so there’s an opportunity but I just think those 6 matchups per year will take a toll that’ll end up messing up their playoff hopes. You have the Jags, Texans, Patriots, Jets and Bills all potentially fighting for 3 spots and with the way some of those rosters are constructed for season 1 there’s no way some of these guys miss the playoffs. You have the unknown for some with the Bills but from what I know he should sneak in year 1 and you can also never count out Deebo with his speed so you never know. It’s crazy for me to say this but if I had to pick a team or 2 outta the Afc West to miss it would be the Raiders or Broncos butttt Hot take: Dk can win the division season 1 but we’ll see how everything plays out. In all honesty I think all 4 make it but you gotta go out on a limb!
