The Premier Madden League has officially started and we are at week 1. In simming through the preseason, and week 1 practice, the Giants have suffered a number of injuries. Each week we will go over the injury report before the game and update the depth chart at that position.
RE Leonard Williams 82 OVR – 1 week (PCL Sprain)
Williams is the starter on the right side of the defensive line and will be missed versus a strong cowboys offensive line. He will be replaced by RE Boogie Basham. Basham is a fast, and strong end who must make the most of his chance to play.
RT Evan Neal 73 OVR – 2 weeks (Broken Finger)
This is a two week crusher to a team that starting out has one of the worst offensive lines in the league. Neal will be severely missed for the first two weeks of the season. The Giants were able to pick up an offensive line in the free agent draft. They only got one free agent pick up for the first week of the season and they made the most of it. Their pick, Andrew Norwell will anchor the right tackle spot for the next few games.
CB Aaron Robinson 71 OVR – 4 weeks IR (Knee Cartilage Tear)
Robinson was the starting slot corner before his injury in training camp. He will either be back in 4 or 8 weeks depending on his luck. When he comes back he will go back to starting unless his replacement, Hawkins is doing an amazing job.
MLB Jarrad Davis 70 OVR – 29 weeks IR (Complete MCL Tear)
He was a backup piece and will not be with the Giants next season when he heals from his injury.
TE Tommy Sweeny 64 OVR – 7 weeks IR (Ruptured Disk)
He was a backup piece and will not be with the Giants next season when he heals from his injury as he will stay on IR.
C J.C Hassenauer 62 OVR – 24 weeks IR (Torn Tricep)
He was a backup piece and will not be with the Giants next season when he heals from his injury.
TE Chris Myarick 59 OVR – 19 weeks IR (Broken Hand)
He was a backup piece and will not be with the Giants next season when he heals from his injury.
