How does the loss this week prepare you for the next game?
Last week we went into the game with injuries on both sides of the ball, then we lost some key players during the game as well. We had to change the game plan on the fly which was less than desirable given our quarterback situation. It has prepared us to continue with the game plan even if someone gets hurt as we should have the players in place to support the next man up philosophy.
Can you talk about the development of Deonte Banks so far?
Banks is one of the best rookie corners in the game, however, he was targeted and his rookie prowess showed. He didn't stay in his zone in the end zone, letting up a short touchdown in front of him. He also missed a tackle on a a screen that he sniffed out which resulted in a touchdown. These mistakes were backbreaking in a close game but he will learn from it and be that much better.
Can you talk about what it’s like to prepare to go against a player like Micah Parsons?
Playing against Parson is like playing the game one man down, with an accelerated clock. You have to double team him every play, especially when you have less than stellar tackles. He is someone who is going to make plays so you have to work around that and get the ball out quickly if you want to succeed.
