Transcript: Patriots Head Coach Press Conference

When the schedules were released this past offseason, analysts said you had one of the easier schedules they've seen. Do you see it that way as well?

There are no easy schedules in this league. If you view it that way you will likely get caught sleeping. You have to come prepared every game, and put your best effort on the field.

The majority of your team is under the age of 26. Is that a conscious effort to have such a young team?

I think we are just at our youthful point of the cycles in the NFL, teams reset to be young, get old as they become contenders, and then start over again. I would say we are in a competitive rebuild, and expect that the group of young players that we have will play well and get the job done. Playoff experience is great for young teams and we hope to add some of that this season.

Can you speak to the overall team health?

We are missing some key young players that we want to evaluate, some great athletes on both sides of the ball that we are excited to see get out there and play. We will make due for the time being without them, but we look forward to getting them back.
