NFC North:
Bears:
Burn: WR Chase Claypool 76 (Normal) – Claypool has been turned into a superstar in the PML numerous times and this year is no doubt as well. All you have to do is switch him to a tight end and he instantly becomes one of your biggest weapons on offense.
JC: WR Tyler Scott 71- With Claypool and Mooney both on the trade block with expiring contracts I see the Bears using Tyler Scott as he’s a solid overall rookie with no real weakness. He could be that second punch alongside DJ Moore.
Lions:
Burn: HB Jahmyr Gibbs 77 (Star) – Gibbs comes out of the box as one of the fastest running backs in the league. He is one game away from getting a breakout story. Given Fallens ability to turn players into superstars, I can see Gibbs being the first star player turned into a superstar this season.
JC: WR Jameson Williams 79 – He may be suspended for the first half of this season but he is one of the biggest speed threats on a passing team, he will find success, it is inevitable.
Packers:
Burn: MLB Quay Walker 78 (Star) – The Packers have a few obvious choices of players who can turn into superstars, however, Walker is a sneak pick that if focused on will provide dividends immediately. He is a speedy, hard hitting linebacker who can light up opposing offenses.
JC: LOLB Lukas Van Ness 73 – He has all the attributes of an elite pass rusher and he’ll have that chance to shine with elite defenders all around him to leave him in one on one sets. The only worry is Hype Mike neglecting upgrading him.
Vikings:
Burn: HB Kene Nwangwu 68 (Normal) – He is the fastest player on the Vikings roster and plays a position that is easily spammed in madden. This bodes extremely well for Wimmy, as teams will focus on Jefferson which will lead gaping holes for the 94 speed Nwangwu.
JC: FS Lewis Cine 75 – A young fast safety poised to breakout thanks to Wimmy’s strong defense. He should get plenty of picks and tackles as a user or just CPU controlled and be in the running for some awards.
NFC East:
Commanders:
Burn: CB Emmanuel Forbes 76 (Star) – Forbes is not only one of the fastest rookies in the game, but the league as well. He comes in as possibly the most polished corner of the rookie class and should start immediately. Teams will test him which should accelerate him into superstar status.
JC: ROLB Jamin Davis 76 – Freaky fast and can do whatever is asked of him, he’s pretty young and will have the opportunity to feast thanks to the strong defense around him.
Cowboys:
Burn: ROLB Damone Clark 73 (Star) – The Cowboys roster is so stacked they even have amazing backup players. Clark is a 90 speed, 89 acceleration, 89 tackling machine at the linebacker position. Drama has a perfect user who can easily become a superstar early in the season.
JC: MLB Demarvion Overshown 69 – Drama used him as his user last year and did pretty well with him. I imagine Drama will be running it back and is already comfortable with him undercutting routes and laying the boom.
Eagles:
Burn: LOLB Nolan Smith 73 (Star) – Smith comes out the box as the fastest linebacker in the game with 93 speed, 95 acceleration, and 87 agility. He is easily the favorite for defensive rookie of the year.
JC: WR Quez Watkins 75 – 97 speed is enough said but HD knows how to pass and with the focus on AJ Brown and Devonta Smith, Watkins will become a well fed target just like last cycle on the Titans.
Giants:
Burn: *WR Jalin Hyatt 70 (Normal) – Hyatt was touted as one of the fastest rookie wide receivers in the game and he didn’t disappoint with 94 speed, 95 acceleration, and 90 jumping. Hyatt is the Giants future number one receiver and Coach Burn has said he will start this season. Look for him to be in the mix for offensive rookie of the year.
JC: CB Deonte Banks 76- One of the best rookies in the game and he has no weakness with height or speed. He’ll upgrade quickly and be a focal point of the Giants and be a top corner in PML this cycle.
NFC West:
Cardinals:
Burn: MLB Owen Pappoe 66 (Normal) – Pappoe comes in slightly behind Smith as the fastest linebacker in the league. He comes out the gate with 93 speed, 95 acceleration, and 82 agility. The Cardinals don’t have many superstar potential players, however, Pappoe is a player to get excited about on the defense.
JC: MLB Owen Pappoe 66 – Pappoe is as fast as Isaiah Simmons was and every year Simmons turned into that guy so there’s no doubt Pappoe will follow suit, especially with a user like Que. He can win awards and progress as fast as anyone in PML can.
49ers:
Burn: ROLB Dee Winters 65 (Normal) – The 49ers have so many superstars that teams will try to stay away from. This is where Winters at 89 speed, 93 acceleration will benefit from. You have to throw at someone and with CEO usering Winters, he will get his statistics which will quickly elevate him to a higher development trait.
JC: ROLB Dee Winters 65 – Talk about a stacked team, this was a hard find but Winters has a good chance to succeed surrounded by all that talent. If he’s usered than he can reap the rewards of Bosa, Warner and the rest of this star studded defense.
Rams:
Burn: CB Tre’vius Hodges – Tomlinson 69 (Normal) – He is 5 ‘9, however also 92 speed, 98 acceleration, 94 agility, and 93 jumping. His height will not overshadow his other physical attributes and he can be used in a number of ways. He can easily guard all of the slot receivers in the league. He can also be usered and cover most of the field.
JC: CB Cobie Durant 73 – He’s solidly tall, solidly fast, but most importantly he has no choice but to be CB1 and with Cook’s reputation developing players… Durant will compete with his NBA counterpart at an elite level in PML this cycle
Seahawks:
Burn: CB Devon Witherspoon 78 (Star) – He immediately starts on the opposite side of the fastest cornerback in the league. By that default, teams will throw at him and this is where he will take full advantage and easily become a superstar by the end of the season.
JC: MLB Devin Bush 77 – Bush was always close to superstardom in real life, but never quite got there but this cycle I think he can do it. With a user like Z he is bound to be put in positive situations and will rack up the stats thanks to the lockdown corners and favorable game script
NFC South:
Buccaneers:
Burn: *WR Trey Palmer 69 (Normal) – The Bucs have themselves their replacement for their aging superstar receivers. With teams watching out for Evans, and Godwin, Palmer will take full advantage which will result in the Bucs potentially having three superstar receivers by the end of the season.
JC: WR Trey Palmer 69 – Godwin and Evans are aging and with defenses focused on them for now, Palmer can develop and blow up and take over as the starter with elite speed and whoever is the longterm option at QB for this Bucs team
Falcons:
Burn: MLB Troy Anderson 66 (Normal) – Anderson should be the starting middle linebacker for this team which will help his development tremendously. His 92 speed and 94 acceleration will make teams regret testing him over the middle of the field.
JC: WR Scotty Miller 73- Pitts, Bijan, and London will all demand targets but the focus on them may free up the shifty, speedy Scotty Miller to rack up catches and leave opposing defenses lost against the Falcons star studded offense. Nef knows how to develop (force feed) players.
Panthers:
Burn: RE Amare Barno 64 (Normal) – Barno is what it truly means to go from rags to riches. He is 6’6, 92 speed, 93 acceleration, with 88 jumping. He has all the gifts to become the next great superstar for this team. His low overall just means that he needs to be usered, however, it also means easy xp points for when he gets breakout scenarios. He should build up quickly.
JC: CB CJ Henderson 73 – He hasn’t been great in real life but alongside Donte Jackson he should absolutely be able to produce and develop thanks to the infinite content points JT has. Through performance or just AR during this cycle he will be a top level corner.
Saints:
Burn: CB Alontae Taylor 73 (Normal) – Taylor is the fastest player on the Saints and is a perfect proto type young player to turn into a superstar. He should start opposite Lattimore and teams will try him and fail, accelerating him into superstar status. He went to superstar status for the Saints last Madden at the end of season one so this is a great opportunity for that to happen again.
JC: ROLB Pete Werner 77 – Last year JC had Okereke and Leonard both at an elite level, this year the Saints have Demario Davis and Werner and I expect Werner to follow in Okereke’s footsteps and blow up, being in award races and developing into an elite 1-2 punch with Davis
