I want to ask you about the receiver position in general. How have you seen that position evolve in importance over the years and how does having a player like WR Cooper Kupp sort of factor into that perspective?
Cooper Kupp is truly a one of a kind. You can know exactly what he's going to do and still not stop him. He's just got a great football mind that spins cycles on gameday. He makes offense easier for the other 10 guys on the field.
How do you rank the biggest changes to this team over the off-season by importance? What do you think were the team's best moves? Was there anything you wish you would have done that didn't get to do?
I think a lot of experts are sleeping on our draft class. While we didnt get any flashy first round picks or track stars on the team, in our building there is a lot of buzz for our youngers. Puka has left a lot of jaws dropped in training camp. Steven is already a starter on the offensive line showing major flashes of greatness. Tre has great ball instincts, especially in his slot role. Kobie has already learned some of Aaron's trick. JT2 is a guy our coaches believe once he gets hot he'll never turn back. And Byron is the kind of raw prospect that you know when the light switch turns on, he'll be wrecking game plans in no time.
Who is your quarterback, and why?
We still roll with Matt Stafford. Stentson simply isn't ready yet to roll, and Matt Stafford still has juice in the tank. As long as Matt is competing at a high level there is no reason to make a change this year.
