PML Week 4 Pick Ems’

PML Pick Ems’ is going to be a weekly segment featuring Greeny, Arod, Cammy, Burn, and myself where we predict the winners for every PML game. We will also have excerpts each week from each of us, but these excerpts will feature different topics each week. This week we are focusing on each matchup and discussing around the league in the PML.

Fallen and Burn are tied at 33-15 over 48 games of PML Football, while Burn had the worst predictions going 10-6 last week. The Atlanta Falcons took over the game late in the fourth quarter against the Lions, but we all had the Lions to defeat the Falcons, so hats off to Nef for staying composed and leading his team to victory. Mike and his Raiders sitting at 0-3 is one of the biggest surprises so far this season and no one predicted that Curt would pull of the upset this week. Nef and Curt were our surprise coaches of the week, and no team desperately needed a win to stay relevant more than the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Week 4 Matchups –

Greeny

Chicago 28 – Denver 21:

These are two top tier coaches with slow starts and bad rosters. I will give the edge to the coach who has his QB of the future on roster already. Dk has been in qb poor accuracy h*** all season and with the way Jefe plays defense I don’t see that changing. Dk loves some deeper passes, and he just hasn’t been able to hit them with his current qb situation.

Cleveland 38 – Baltimore 35:

I’m predicting a walk off fg here. I think this will be a tough game from start to finish. Arod had a crazy comeback and heart-breaking loss last week and you just have to wonder if that’s a W with Lamar. If he plays this game like the second half last week we would walk away with a victory. Mali has been leaning on the ground game and his two edge threat pass rushers and if he sticks with that mentality he should walk away with a divisional win.

Houston 42 – Pittsburgh 13:

Ke has that Houston defense absolutely humming right now. He just added a piece to a group that was already dominating, we will see how he fits Marcus Jones in. Curt will have his first game with more than 87 throw power but I’m not quite sure this is the game Zach Wilson wants to walk into right now. Curt had a big win last week, but this defense is playing on a whole other level currently from the Raiders and the user won’t be playing superstar Cornerback mode with his camera.

Burn –

Las Angeles Rams 24 – Indianapolis 10:

The Rams are one of the best stories of the league so far. In what many thought would be a rebuild year, Coach Cook has these old Rams cooking. The Rams are one of the undefeated teams remaining, and it will stay the same this week. The Colts won the game last week; however, it took all they had to do so. They were big favorites over the Ravens, and they couldn’t even beat the spread. This doesn’t bode well for the game this week. The Rams will come out, play strong, and win the game 24-10.

New Orleans 31 – Tamba Bay 24:

Tampa Bay finally got their first win of the season last week versus the Eagles. This was a huge boost for them as going down 0-3, seriously reduces the chance at a playoff shot. The Saints, after losing to the Panthers in week 2, came out strong and beat a very good Packers team. Maybe the week 2 loss to the Panthers was just a one off and they are still the favorites to win the division. This will be a very good division game where the Saints will want to prove that they are legit and make a statement win within the division. I believe the Saints will win 31-24.

Philadelphia 27 – Washington 20:

This is going to be a huge divisional game for both teams. The Commanders were looking like the hottest team in the league coming into week 3, however, the Bills cooled them down. The Eagles, who have a coach who has been coaching them months before the season even started, are officially 0-3. They have the best roster in the league, and arguably a coach who is very familiar with them. Their record at this point is inexcusable to say the least. No way does coach HD fall to 0-4 with the best team in the league, especially versus a divisional opponent with a lower rated QB. I think that HD finally gets it in gear and wins 27-20 because honestly, he can’t afford to lose. If he does, the league won’t let him live it down.

AROD –

Cincinnati 27 – Tennessee 24:

The Bengals roster will be just too much for the Titans to handle. In what should be a great game of football to watch featuring two football minded coaches, the Bengals will pull away with the dub simply because they have the weapons that the Titans lack. If the Titans want any chance to win this game, they must feed Derrick Henry and allow him to be the best player on the field. They must avoid a shootout with Joe Burrow by any means necessary. Looking forward to this one!

Los Angeles Chargers 35 – Las Vegas 17:

Things are looking bad in Vegas to start the cycle. Coming off a blowout loss to Curt and the Steelers, King Mike is at an early crossroads where the Raiders may potentially be looking at draft positioning instead of playoff seeding. Codes has the Chargers playing at a high level and Justin Herbert has been lights out. I don’t see the Raiders getting into the win column this week.

Dallas 20 – New England 17:

A potential game of the week has Drama and the undefeated Cowboys hosting Spdot and the 2-1 Patriots. People are sleeping on Dak Prescot. Guy has 10 touchdowns and 0 interceptions with an undefeated record. Time to give the man the flowers he deserves. Drama makes a statement win this week and the Cowboys continue to roll.

Cammy –

Green Bay 41- Detroit 24:

It’s not that I don’t think fallen can’t get the job done on offense it’s that i don’t think the lions defensive roster is good enough to really limit Hypemikes ability on offense. If fallen can find a way to slow down hypemike then there is a chance at winning but I just don’t see how he’s going too.

Jacksonville 24 – Atlanta 21: After watching Nef he’s still making some careless mistakes and making it harder on himself to win games even though there’s no need to do that. I think Tbandit is a good enough coach to capitalize on those mistakes especially against a coach he knows very well.

Miami 49 – Buffalo 42:

This is going to be a high scoring game with no defense played at all. These two teams are very high-powered offenses at the moments having some of the highest stats in certain categories. I think when it comes down to it Buffalo isn’t going to have what it takes to slow down Waddle Tyreke and Achane and the dolphins are going to come out with a Dub. Min 34 Carolina 17 Bryce has been showing good progress since the start of the league, but I don’t think he’s ready to carry this Carolina team to victory especially against a top defensive coach in Wimmy. Captain kirk has been having turnover troubles, but I think this defense can help carry this team to three score victory.

Fallen –

San Francisco 31 – Arizona 10:

Kyler Murray should technically be back this week for the Arizona Cardinals, but he was placed on IR, so he’s knocked out for 8 games despite Murray being healthy and coming off his injury. The Cardinals could really use his services because the quarterback carousel in Arizona isn’t coming together. Tune and Wentz have thrown a combined 7 interceptions and the Cardinals are staring up at an 0-3 start.. not ideal. This is a get right game for the 49ers after coming off a loss to the Rams in week 2 and then a double-digit victory versus the Giants last week. The 49ers were considered favourites to win this division, but we need to see more out of CEO, especially against the other teams in his division.

Kansas City 30 – New York Jets 17:

Matigy has shaken off the rust and ever since his loss to Detroit in week 1, the Chiefs have defeated their opponents 82-27. The Jets have taken the opposite route, ever since their big victory over Buffalo in week 1, they have lost 75-34. One team seems to have all the momentum in their favor and the other team is on a drought that they desperately need to climb out of, however, Aaron Rogers versus Patrick Mahomes is a very exciting matchup between older generation and new generation quarterbacks that is a must see PML matchup this week.

Seattle 42 – New York Giants 28:

This is a game where strength meets strength but one of those teams must triumph over the other while leaning on their strengths. The Seahawks have the third best rushing offense this season whereas the Giants have the second-best rushing defense this season. The Giants are only allowing 78 rushing yards per game and Seattle is rushing for almost 194 yards per game, double on average what the Giants are letting up. I think the team that can rely on their strengths the most is going to come out with the victory, but the victorious team will not emerge until deep in the fourth quarter.
