PML Week 7 Weekly Pick Ems’

PML Pick Ems’ is going to be a weekly segment featuring Greeny, Arod, Cammy, Burn, and I where we predict the winners for every PML game. We will also have excerpts each week from each of us, but these excerpts will feature different topics each week. This week we are focusing on each matchup and discussing around the league in the PML.

This really wasn’t the week for our picks, I think in total, this was the worst cumulative score of all our pickers on correctly guessed games. Sheesh. Shoutout to Dlloyd and his Titans, Jefe and his Bears, CB and his Colts, JT and his Panthers, and HD and his Eagles.. all of these teams had all of our picker’s betting against them and they proved us wrong. I think the most shocking win this week was Jefe and his Bears beating Wimmy and his Vikings, considering Sportsbook took everyone’s money because most people took the Vikings in that game.

Week 7 Matchups –

Greeny

New England 38 – Buffalo 35:

I think this game is a classic and a great game. These two have been in divisions together in another league and know each other well. I think that gives Dot the advantage here. Buffalo is a far superior team, but NE has the defensive backfield to match up well. Not many teams have slowed down Josh Allen and the boys and I think the score here reflects that. Whoever has the ball last wins.

New York Giants 31 – Washington 24:

A great front 7 vs bad throw Danny Dimes is a recipe for disaster. I think Burn is going to come out and play like it’s a Sb because his season really depends on this game. If he just remains patient and plays good defense, I think he can score once or twice on defense and win this game.

Detroit 42 – Baltimore 38:

We have ourselves another old-fashioned shoot out. 98 speed QB Lamar vs Jamo, Gibbs and the boys. The Ravens have been playing great defense this season, but I think this is a game where the offenses break out. Fallen knows how to use speed better than almost anyone in the league and I think it shows here in this game. If Lamar gets 12+ carries I would lean Ravens here but I’m not sure if Arod commits that way just yet.

Burn –

Jacksonville 33 – New Orleans 30:

The Jags at 2-4 just aren’t doing as well as we thought before the season started. They were the best roster in the division, and I had them competing to win the division season one. I think the winds of change go in their favor with their defense versus the Saints offense. Among the Lattimore trade versus no trade news, the Saints are falling. They had a good opportunity to gain control of the NFC South but failed to do so this week versus the Texans. I think they will lose again this week to another AFC South team. The Jaguars offense is one of the worst in the league, while their defense ranks as one of the best. Lawrence needs to play like the superstar he is, and I can see that happening this week when the Jaguars win 33-30

Chicago 21 – Las Vegas 14:

The Bears are rolling. They started with one of the lower rated rosters in the league and right now they sit atop of their division. They play strong football and rank among the best in the league running the ball. Vegas is not doing well this season. They were expected to make a good run at the playoffs and they can’t seem to put together wins. The passing game is the best in the league, but Jimmy G is among those with the most interceptions in the league. This mixed with a bad defense doesn’t translate to wins. I believe the Bears will run the ball and take control of this game early leading to a 21-14 win.

Indianapolis 45 – Cleveland 31:

Cleveland has been a pleasant surprise this season. They are set up with a win now team and Coach Mali is taking every advantage to do so. They are top of their division at the moment and I have a feeling it will stay that way. The Colts are another team who are doing way better than expected. They are .500, and this was without one of the best running backs in the league. Watch out for that Richardson/Taylor offense. Adding Taylor to the mix will elevate the Colts offense to a victory of 45-31.

AROD –

Atlanta 21 – Tampa Bay 13:

The big story here is the injury to Baker Mayfield who has played exceptionally well this season after earning the starting role. I don’t think Cammy has the quarterback to put up points and goes down in a low scoring affair. Falcons get back into the win column after dropping their last 3.

Los Angeles (Rams) 35 – Pittsburgh 13:

Curt leaves his bye week after dropping their last game to the Ravens in a game where Zach Wilson struggled to move the ball, granted it was a rainy game. I don’t see them being able to put much onto the scoreboard against the 6-0 Rams. Rams stay undefeated in this one.

Seattle 34 – Arizona 17:

I don’t think Kyler Murray will change much for the Cardinals. The Seahawks will win this one in convincing fashion. The Seahawks are 3rd in the league in points at 36ppg. The Cardinals rank 30th at 20ppg. The range there is way too large for me to think there could be an upset.

Cammy –

Green Bay 35 – Denver 14:

Even though Hypemike likes to act like he isn’t one of the goats of PML he is and I think with DK struggling with this Broncos team and allegedly “tanking” I think this game is going to be a blow out. Hypemike is too good to make mistakes against.

Chiefs 38 – Chargers 31:

Wow.. the Chargers first L. To be fair I have these two teams splitting I just think with the Chargers having to travel to Kansas City and play against their homefield advantage they might get annoyed and drop this game. Codes likes to use his hot routes and not being able to use them could mess up his game a bit. I think Matigy is finally able to figure out passing with Mahomes and pulls out the win.

Miami 31 Philadelphia 28:

I just don’t see HD winning this game not because he’s not good enough but because he’s one of the worst run defenders and tacklers in the entire league and now he’s going up against the top running offense in PML who has so much speed that if you make a wrong angle or mess up tackling it’s a touchdown. If HD wants to win this he’s got to force Deebo to pass the ball.

Fallen –

San Francisco 35 – Minnesota 17:

CEO and his 49ers had a stretch of Madden luck this week with their win over the Browns. Cleveland’s Amari Cooper came down with a cold and couldn’t stretch his arms long enough to reign in a catch after having two defenders beat on the route. CEO has to keep Wimmy’s offense off of the field, if he can do that, he’s going to pickup a victory. Wimmy and his Vikings have a top ten offense this season, but their defense is ranked in the bottom 10, so CEO’s best play is to really stretch out the field, take one yard at a time, and milk that clock.
