A Superstar Is Born

FS Xavier McKinney is in his last year as a Giants player. Coach Burn needed to decide whether the Giants were going to re-sign the safety or not at the end of the season. With McKinney just being a star development player, he was made expendable when the Giants brought in Justin Simmons. McKinney didn’t like this move as he felt it directly went against him so he felt the need to prove himself to this team.

McKinney has played well this season, and as of week 6 earned himself a superstar development story versus the Bills. In this story, the Giants needed to hold the Bills under 75 passing yards or McKinney had to get either 2 tackles for loss, forced fumbles, interceptions, or sacks in order to get superstar abilities.

Coach Burn wanted to give McKinney every chance to succeed so he changed his deceive gameplan in order to support him. This propelled McKinney to go out and have a great game, resulting in his development status being raised to superstar as well as gain 8000 XP.

McKinney immediately received a boost, and his abilities that were gained included Reach Elite, Flat Zone KO, and a hidden one that he earned when he reached 85 OVR. Reach Elite isn’t the best ability, however, McKinney does lead the team in tackles, so this will help when he is trying to get blocked, especially one those RPO screens that people like to run. Flat Zone KO is a great ability and will help him when he is close to the line of scrimmage.

McKinney’s time with the Giants is still up in the air as teams have been calling about him for a trade. Coach Burn is still deciding what he wants to do and will decide by week 8.
