Giants Week 8 Injury Report & Focus Players

After an exciting round of week five games, we are in week 8. In simming through the week 8 practice, the Giants are getting healthier but still have a number of injuries. Each week we will go over the injury report and practice focus players before the game and update the depth chart at that position.

Focus Players:

HB Saquon Barkley: Barkley is getting closer and closer each week to that 95 upgrade. He officially has 10675/11586. He could be getting his new ability next week if he has a big game versus the Raiders. Coach Burn is hoping for joystick, which will let Barkley really shine in the offense assuming he can run more than 10 times without getting hurt for a few quarters.

WR Jalin Hyatt: Hyatt has been the star of the Giants offense so far this season. He is leading the team in receptions and receiving yards. He has worked hard and is soon to be receiving an upgrade. He is only one more game away, where hopefully he gets a speed upgrade to make him that much more dynamic.

CB Deonte Banks: Banks hasn’t been talked much this season and it’s for a great reason. Teams don’t seem to be throwing his way, so he doesn’t have any interceptions, but he does a good amount of tackles. He is being trained in hopes that his star development goes to superstar.

TE Lawrence Cager 68 OVR – 1 week (Turf Toe)

Cager suffered an injury in practice which isn’t the biggest issue with him being the third tight end on the team. He played at full back but he won’t be missed too much.

CB Aaron Robinson 71 OVR – 0 weeks IR (Knee Cartilage Tear)

Robinson is still on the IR list due to the Giants picking up a few veteran corners the past two weeks. At this point he may stay here and just be developed through attribute requests in order for him to start next season.

MLB Jarrad Davis 70 OVR – 22 weeks IR (Complete MCL Tear)

He was a backup piece and will not be with the Giants next season when he heals from his injury. No change from week 1.

TE Tommy Sweeny 64 OVR – 0 weeks IR (Ruptured Disk)

He was a backup piece and will not be with the Giants next season when he heals from his injury as he will stay on IR. No change from week 1. He will stay on IR for the rest of the season.

C J.C Hassenauer 62 OVR – 17 weeks IR (Torn Tricep)

He was a backup piece and will not be with the Giants next season when he heals from his injury. No change from week 1.

TE Chris Myarick 59 OVR – 12 weeks IR (Broken Hand)

He was a backup piece and will not be with the Giants next season when he heals from his injury. No change from week 1.
