What are your thoughts about the Saints going into this week?
I think the Saints are looking past us. They saw us be sellers at the trade deadline and have a disappointing loss to the Falcons. At 4-5, I’m sure we’re easy to overlook. Good. Make us underdogs. Look past us. Because we’re fighting for every inch.
Can you talk about what it’s like to prepare to go against a player like Chris Olave?
Thankfully we don’t have to worry about him this week. Jamaal Williams last week decided to fall forward for about 70 yards for a touchdown when kneeling the ball would’ve sufficed. Due to such a lack of respect and sportsmanship, the Saints will be without their WR1 for the next couple weeks. And I couldn’t be happier. We know AT Perry will be heavily involved. We know Slant-man Michael Thomas will also be involved. We better be ready for that offense
The defense is getting a lot of criticism lately for their level of play. Are you planning to make any changes?
We have some adjustments for this week with the style of our defense. After moving Harrison ‘Big Country’ Smith to Los Angeles prior to the deadline, we are really looking for a defensive leader to step up. We have to stop the run first and foremost. If we don’t stop the run, we’ll be losing a lot of games. I think we need to play a little more aggressive and try to force more turnovers.
