PML Week 11 Pick Ems’

PML Pick Ems’ is going to be a weekly segment featuring Greeny, Arod, Cammy, Burn, and I where we predict the winners for every PML game. We will also have excerpts each week from each of us, but these excerpts will feature different topics each week. This week we are focusing on each matchup and discussing around the league in the PML.

Goose and the Cincinnati Bengals pulled off one of the biggest surprise victories of the season in knocking off the Houston Texans this week, no one could have predicted that stunning win. Greeny still holds onto a one-point lead as our top predictor on the season, but it seems like every week we have a stunner and expect even more upsets because week 11 starts extra content points to teams below .500 when they defeat a team that is above .500.

Week 11 Matchups –

Greeny

Jacksonville 31 – Tennessee 24:

Jacksonville is struggling right now on the season and there’s been a ton of back and forth between the Gm and teams around the league. I think bandit comes out with a fire lit and gets off to a hot start and rides that out for the W. The Titans might have been the favorite in this game had they had a healthy running back or still had King Henry but right now they are short on talent between trades, injuries, and suspensions.

Las Vegas 28 – Miami 24:

I’m going upset here. The raiders have been hearing tank calls all season and I think come up with something to prove. Mike is an excellent game planner and I think comes out with an attack for the Dolphins run game. The dolphins were piling up rush yards and points on a historic rate until they ran into the buzzsaw known as the Chiefs. I think this will have the Dolphins forcing things early and get out of their game plan.

New York Giants 35 – Washington 21:

Washington had a hot start to the year but cooled off dramatically last little bit. Burn and the Giants are fighting to remain out of the cellar and avoid a truly bad season 1. The Giants just need a couple wins late in the year to finish second in the Afc East. Playoffs are probably out of the picture at this point but finishing strong will be a lot to build on for the team.

Burn –

Cincinnati 27 – Baltimore 14:

Both of these teams have great rosters, yet both aren’t doing well this season. Both have superstar x factor quarterbacks who aren’t living up to their potential, but only one is projected to lose his abilities at the end of the season. Lamar Jackson needs to stop throwing interceptions and the Ravens need to use his legs more. It doesn’t have to be read options or designed run plays; they just need to get Lamar in space which can come from a pass play that turns into a run when nothing is there. Stop throwing bad interceptions and just run instead. The Bengals showed some signs of life last week beating the previously one-loss Texans. They aren’t out of the division race but they can’t afford any more losses going forward. The offense isn’t doing well, but with Burrow on your roster anything can be sparked at any time. I see the Bengals taking their momentum from last week and forcing Jackson into more interceptions. Bengals win 27-14.

Dallas 43 – Carolina 20:

The Cowboys are rolling this season. Dak is playing like an MVP this season and the rest of the roster has players leading the league in different award categories. It looks as if they might have their division clinched but they can’t take their foot off the gas just yet. The Panthers and Bryce Young are struggling to say the least. They had a huge trade in place which would have sent linebacker Burns to Tennessee, but those negotiations fell through. Burns was then promptly signed and with this move, they hope they can turn around their season. Dallas just has too much on their roster for Carolina to win this season. Dallas wins 43-20.

Cleveland 21 – Pittsburgh 14:

This is a huge matchup in the AFC North. The Steelers can’t overtake the Browns with a win this week, but they can ensure that the Browns don’t hold the tiebreaker over them. They already lost to the Browns this season so they can’t afford to lose again with the race for the division almost at hand. The Browns are 6-3 but all of their wins have come against teams that are below .500. They have lost the only game they faced a team over .500. Are they a legit contender, or are they just a team that has one of the easiest schedules in the league? You can only play who is on your schedule but a loss this week will confirm that they are frauds. I think the Browns have something to prove this season and will come out and win this game 21-14, which will give them a 3-game lead heading into the second half of the season.

AROD –

San Francisco 42 – Tampa Bay 28:

Baker Mayfield attempted 42 passes in his first game off of injury this week against the Titans, I think he’s going to have a similar outing against the 49ers. CEO is having a quiet season, but he is 6-3 and nestled in a playoff spot, but I think there are some owners that have doubts about his coaching style. This is going to be a high scoring game, but the Buccaneers are going to fall short in the fourth quarter.

New York Jets 30 – Buffalo 13:

Greeny is looking to complete the sweep over Buffalo, meanwhile the Bills are coming off a tough blowout loss to the former 1-7 Denver Broncos. The Bills are looking to come out with an explosive first drive, but it’s going to fall flat very quickly. Josh Allen has thrown 6 interceptions in the past two games, and he is looking eerily similar to last cycle when he lost his abilities at the hands of Tbandit. If Allen turns the ball over more than twice, the Bills will lose and you can take that to the bank.

Los Angeles Rams 35 – Seattle 20:

Seattle has only lost one game this season, that being in week 1 to the Rams. Los Angeles is looking for a clean sweep over Seattle and to move atop of the division standings. Los Angeles is coming off a bye week and has fallen into the abyss of a two game losing streak, but Matthew Stafford is going to carve up Seattle’s 2nd ranked passing defense.

Cammy –

Chicago 21 – Detroit 17:

I think both of these users are having a great start to the cycle so far, I just think when it comes to the Bears defense they are going to be too smart for the Lions offense to overcome. If the Lions are going to want to play this game, they will have to play slow and try to confuse the Bears defense while loading the box on defense with both of their star receivers gone. It’ll be an entertaining game to watch.

Los Angeles Chargers 38 – Green Bay 31:

This is going to be a shootout no matter how good both of these teams’ defenses are. I think the game will start off slow then the touchdowns will start rolling in with Xfactor Justin Herbert being too much for the Packers defense to handle.

Houston 21 – Arizona 18:

This is going to be an interesting game. Both these teams have even squads and always play each other hard so it’ll be a very good game to watch. I have the best defense in PML in the Texans winning this game by a tight margin score.

Fallen –

 Minnesota 28 – Denver 20:

This is a game versus two struggling coaches that most thought would be playoff potential teams before the season. We have seen playoff caliber football from both teams with the Broncos securing a 44-21 victory over the previously 6-3 Buffalo Bills this week. Courtland Sutton racked in 10 catches and improved his development trait, but why can’t Denver produce this level of offense every game? Hm. Minnesota has the better team, but this game could fall in either direction. However, with Minnesota still in the playoff hunt, I think Wimmy finds a way to win the game deep in the fourth quarter.

Kansas City 35 – Philadelphia 17:

A very disappointing season for the 3-6 Philadelphia Eagles and their coach HD, despite the team being one of the highest overall rated teams in the league. Goodluck to Eagles fan because the Eagles must go up against five teams that in the playoff hunt in their next five games. Patrick Mahomes is licking his lips looking out at the 30th ranked passing defense and this game is going to be like sending lambs to their slaughter. The fat lady will be singing by the third quarter.
