PML Frightfest! – AFC West

Welcome to PML Frightfest! We’ve paired PML teams and coaches with some of the most renowned monsters and villains from classic horror tales. Lets take a look at some of the some of the best and worst of PML season 1!

Chiefs – Coach Matigy (Best team in PML)

Pennywise from “It”: Deep within the sewers of Derry lurks Pennywise, a malevolent force that emerges every 27 years to feast on the town’s children. His ability to lure in his victims with a façade of allure and charm before revealing his true, terrifying form is nothing short of masterful. Coach Matigy’s Chiefs resonate with Pennywise’s essence, drawing in competitors with the promise of a game, only to unleash a barrage of skill, strategy, and sheer dominance. Pennywise, with his bright red balloon, signifies a foreboding omen to the residents of Derry. Similarly, every move the Chiefs make sends a clear message to PML: “You’ll float too.” Coach Matigy’s game strategy is reminiscent of Pennywise’s cunning – lurking, waiting for the opportune moment, and then striking with unmatched ferocity. The dancing clown of horror has found his gridiron counterpart in the Chiefs, and with each game, they remind PML of the omnipresent dread that Pennywise embodies: a dominant force that’s always watching, always waiting, always ready to devour the competition.

Raiders – Coach King Mike (Questionable performance)

Michael Myers from “Halloween”: There’s an eeriness about Michael Myers that’s difficult to pinpoint. He doesn’t rush, doesn’t speak, and his actions often seem random, but the terror he instills is unquestionable. Much like Myers, Coach King Mike’s Raiders have become an enigma within the PML. On the surface, it might appear they’re wandering aimlessly, just another team with a mask of mediocrity. But those who’ve faced them know the potential lurking just beneath. Michael Myers is relentless, emerging when least expected, showing glimmers of sheer dominance, only to retreat back into the shadows, leaving both victims and onlookers in a state of puzzled dread. Similarly, the Raiders, under Coach King Mike’s helm, have moments of brilliance, where they exhibit the hallmarks of a championship team. Yet, the consistency remains elusive. Every game is like Halloween night, where you’re never quite sure if you’re going to get a treat, a trick, or find yourself face-to-face with the embodiment of PML’s silent terror. As the season progresses, the league watches, waiting to see if the Raiders will unveil their true nature or if the mask of unpredictability will remain their defining trait.
