Can you talk about the development of Bryan Bresee so far?
He's been injured a lot but has made clear impressive strides when he's out there. He is plugging holes in the run game and creating pressure in the pass game. He is turning into that elite defensive presence we want to have in the middle next to JFM.
What can you attribute to having one of the top-scoring teams in the league to this point?
A veteran leader in Derek Carr. He knows the playbook all the way through and makes his teammates better by climbing or escaping the pocket when our protection breaks down, selling fakes hard, and taking accountability when he misses a throw. That has let the offense shine no matter who the focal point is.
Is quarterback a priority for this team in the upcoming draft?
We value youth in New Orleans and Derek Carr is 32. We also value elite quarterback play in New Orleans and Derek Carr is leading the league in touchdowns and yards while being in the bottom half in interceptions. Quarterback will be a priority eventually, but Carr may be buying himself another year at the helm.
Can you speak to the overall team health?
We are recovering. Every player without a season-ending injury is back and ready for our upcoming game with the Panthers. Now it's about staying healthy.
