What are your thoughts about the Bengals going into this week?
They're a tough team, no question. We've been studying their plays, and we're gearing up for a real battle on the field. Our guys are ready to bring their A-game.
Can you talk about what it’s like to prepare to go against a player like Joe Burrow?
Preparing for a player like Burrow is a challenge; he's sharp, reads the defense well. We're tweaking our schemes, making sure our defense is tight and ready to adapt on the fly. It's all about pressure and making him uncomfortable.
Over your career, what makes a team better at not turning the ball over as the season goes along? What kind of things you need to emphasize? How much of it is coaching? How much of it is a mental part? Physical part?
It's about discipline and fundamentals. We drill ball security in practice, make it second nature for the players. Coaching sets the expectation, but mentally owning that responsibility and the physical execution—that's on the players when game time comes.
When the schedules were released this past offseason, analysts said you had one of the easier schedules they've seen. Do you see it that way as well?
There's no easy schedule in the NFL, period. Every week's a test, every team's coming to play. We take it one game at a time, respect every opponent.
