Overreactions & Reality Checks for PML

Incoming carousel members should be awarded the average amount of tasks the current users have completed OR inherit the previous users tasks
Reality or Overreaction: Reality
This is probably more of a rule change, or rule suggestion, but I will get the ball rolling here before I propose it. When a carousel member enters PML, they have a daunting task in front of them of not only learning the immersion system (new members), but are at a major disadvantage when they start from scratch with training, focus, wellness, and once thats complete, even draft scouting or however majority of current members are spending their 2 daily task. It has taken me an entire season to get to a comfortable point where my focus and trust are at steady levels for all the positions I want to put AR into, and I haven’t even really got to venture off into draft tasks, or other avenues of interest. When a new user joins season 2, 3, or whenever they are way too far behind the rest of the league who have had a 2 season headstart in terms of tasks completed. What I suggest is that new users either inherit the tasks completed by the previous regime, or they are allocated the average amount of tasks completed by all the current users in the league. I would prefer the latter for incoming members so that they may design and tailor their own path instead of following what was created by the previous coach. I find this as a glaring disparity to incoming members, and I think it is something we finally need to take a look at to create equality for incoming members already behind the eightball.

49ers are in danger of missing the playoffs
Reality or Overreaction: Overreaction
After sitting at 9-3 and seemingly looking like a lock for the playoffs, suddenly the 49ers have dropped 2 straight and that entire Falcons/Bears race we have been tracking over the past 2 weeks, has turned into a 3 way dance as the 49ers have entered the auditorium. This is something nobody is talking about yet, but it is very realistic the Falcons and Bears both make the playoffs, the the 49ers are on the outside looking in. Sounds like a fun way to finish, but then you look a bit deeper into the scenario. The 49ers finish the season with Bal, Was, and Lar. We could assume 2-1 finish, and a 11-6 final record- hypothetically. The Falcons currently at 8-6, close out the year with Ind, Chi, and No. Lets assume 1-2, and a 9-8 final record. Finally, the Bears are currently 9-5, and will play Ari, Atl, and Gb to close out the campaign. In a perfect world, they go 2-1 and finish the year 11-6. The Bears and 49ers secure the final wildcard spots and the Falcons have next season to look forward to. But hey, PML is an ‘any given Sunday’ league, so ya never know!

Dlloyd was in the right
Reality or overreaction: Reality
PMLs latest controversy… Dlloyd was up 10 with 20 or so seconds remaining before half when he and the Texans got disconnected. Like most users he wanted to be spotted 10 points and to play a half. Ke wanted to run from the top. With only 3 more games left every game matters, and in this game it was the 9-4 Texans vs the 8-5 Titans. A win would have put Dlloyd in the division lead. No sane person would just give up their 10 points for free in such an important game. I know the rule says any disconnects before half = restart, but you can’t tell me if you were up 28-0 with 5 seconds before half and a disconnect with your playoff hopes were on the line were to happen… that it would be logical to restart the game.

You should get the option to FW vs the CPU
Reality or overreaction: Reality
We all have at one point or another faced the all-madden CPU and know how OP it can be. This late in the season where playoff hopes and seeding is on the line, there is no reason these shouldn’t be free wins. Beast gets to go on vacation mid season and let his great team do the dirty work and keep his playoff hopes alive, while Dallas falls back in his conference. We have seen CPU teams make the playoffs and win playoff games which caused a lot of issues. I know it’s not one of the biggest issue, but it is still one in my eyes. I know we love to make jokes about people who lose CPU games, but it can really mess things up late season.

AFC North is a division of folders
Reality or overreaction: Reality
The Browns started hot going 3-0 before losing to the Ravens and 49ers, and then another nice run to be at 6-3. Since then Mali has lost 2 straight and is 7-7 and tied for the division with the 7-7 Steelers. The Browns will have to face the Texans, Jets, and bengals. Most people are taking mali in one of those games to finish 8-9, Steelers on the other hand started off slow going 2-4 and came back all the way to 7-5, but now has dropped 2 in a row with a tough loss to the 4-10 colts. Steelers finish the season off with Bengals, Seahawks, Ravens. Most people would take Curt to win 2 of these games but I just have a bad feeling he will lose 2 more and they end up tied going to tiebreakers to decide the division because nobody can win it.

Cardinals with kyler is a playoff team
Reality or overreaction: Overreaction
Que and his cardinals are on a hot run winning 5 of his last 7. But kyler has played in 9 games and is overall 5-4 and I think that resembles closer to what this team is right now. Hollywood has had 2 explosive 200 yard performances since kyler return and rookie running back Emari Demecardo have really made this offense a lot more consistent. But overall I don’t think they have enough talent on the team to go positive in this division and will have a tough road to the playoffs next szn, especially if CEO can retain this momentum and put up another 10 win season. But overall they only need a few more playmakers on defense and maybe 1 WR and some Oline to be a bonafide playoff team with contender hopes.

The Ravens might shock the world by trading Lamar, drafting Caleb, or trading their top pick.
Reality or overreaction: REALITY
Arod is known for making insane trades and wanting to shake things up. We all know what he likes to do in the PML offseason, which is trade everyone or move his picks around. He has a win now roster, but you never know what direction he wants to go in as far as team building. Not one thing is out of the picture when it comes to Arod. There are many teams that need Caleb Williams, so I expect him to get some pretty hefty offers for that #1 pick. It’s just a matter of who he sends it to and what he gets for it. The Raiders and Giants are gonna have to battle for it.

The Cowboys are frauds.
Reality or overreaction: OVERREACTION
Dramaman is the most entertaining personality in PML. He has people watching his every move, snitching on him if he doesn’t one little thing, and the list goes on and on. He puts this type of pressure upon himself with the way he boasts about how good he is on the virtual gridiron. He’s lost a few games lately, and is known for absolutely collapsing in the back half of his PML schedule from year to year. I still think he can make a deep playoff run regardless of a mid season collapse. The cowboys are still dangerous.

The Sportsbook will be over run by computer AI (AKA JT) before the end of the cycle and added into the immersion system.
Reality or Overreaction: Overreaction
The Sportsbook is one of the best things about PML for many reasons, but the main one being that it undoubtedly creates a heightened interest in all of the games being played. With everything going on with sports betting in the real world, the PML Sportsbook is at an all-time high with involvement week to week. We just saw HD’s player props get overtaken by “the machine’s” Underdog aspect of the immersion system, and one can only start to wonder if Sportsbook is next. However, Sportsbook is doing much (MUCH) better than player props was against the league, meaning, it’s not giving out free content points like candy on Halloween. Sportsbook is actually up on the league through the season so far, and that’s not easy to do when it comes to betting on user controlled games. This means ARod is doing an incredible job setting lines and/or we all suck at betting. If the computer took over the sportsbook and lines were being set off of the ones generated by Mymadden or something similar, then I think it would perform much worse than ARod. The human element is needed in setting lines in this league, especially when dealing with likely blowout wins in cases where a top tier coach is going against a bottom tier coach. A simple 12-14 point line wouldn’t be enough to compensate for the skill difference of some users, and it’d become easy to steal money from the sportsbook.

An Evolve player will be called up before the end of this cycle and make a huge impact on someone’s team.
Reality or Overreaction: Overreaction
I think Evolve is amazing; it’s quite literally the only league I get to play games in. However, for anybody that does play all of their games in that league, any player that will be worth calling up to your main team is likely to be rated 76+. That player is probably exceptionally fast and putting up great numbers in evolve, racking up skill points and quickly exceeding the 76ovr threshold of costing 60 points of the immersion system. This means, it’d take 30 days of doubling up on the Evolve immersion task to even think about calling up your best player. But with the need to stay on top of your own PML’s teams training, focus, and wellness, the Evolve system is undoubtedly going to not be able to receive double the focus for an entire month straight. If anything, Evolve scouting will take a back seat entirely and nobody will get to 60 points. If they do, it’ll be so late in the cycle that nobody is going to be worried about a 25yr old 78ovr star-player coming into the league.

Drama is on the verge of another one of his mid season collapses but got saved by his awful division
Reality or Overreaction: Reality
We know how this goes pml, when Drama is flying high everybody knows he comes in chat poppin his s*** telling everybody about themselves and how he went do this and that. When he’s in a slump you barely see him in chat and on shows because his confidence is shot, he might not fully disappear but he’s not as active and not as outspoken. A couple cycles ago he started the season 9-2 or 10-2 and ended up closing out the season on a 5-6 game losing streak to miss the playoffs. His last 3 games are against the Dolphins, Lions and Commanders which are all winnable games but at the same time he could drop all 3 so he better thank jt for not giving him a competent division that’s so bad he already has clinched.

The Ravens are going to send the #1 overall pick to a top dog sending pml in an uproar
Reality or Overreaction: Reality
We all know how this goes sadly… Arod has his franchise guy in Lamar Jackson and he also has the oh so coveted #1 ovr pick with Caleb Williams to see where he’s going. It’s the first draft which means we have the most time to develop players and this is also probably the most potential franchise qbs we will have in a draft this cycle with guys like : Caleb,Drake,Penix, Ewers, JJ and others available. There will be 5 qbs gone in the first round but everybody wants Caleb and we all know that for the most part. There’s going to be a coach like Cook,Z, Mike or wimmy that aren’t in contention for the top spot and in Arods dm eventually ending up in them walking away with that #1 pick. I don’t know how exactly it’ll happen but it will and I can’t wait for that day because pml is going to be lividddd. If it was up to me I would be giving him to a coach right above me making him pay a king’s ransom while still having first dibs on some of the top talent available
