What are your thoughts about the Raiders going into this week?
Solid team that had a good offseason. Looking forward to the game knowing the Raiders at looking to make the leap back to elite caliber this year. Lots of new faces and new weapons out there for us to contain.
Can you talk about what it’s like to prepare to go against a player like Josh Jacobs?
He is a bruiser. Won’t kill toy outside the tackles, but can wear you down in the trenches. We have to focus on not allowing him to bounce off tackles and everybody getting to the ball. My rookie LBs will get there first welcome to the NFL test versus one of the best RB in the NFL and one of the toughest to bring to the ground.
How has Matt Paradis’s experience in the league helped the team so far?
He is a veteran that came in the fill a major hole In Our offensive line. It’s great to have a guy come in an already know the ropes due to having years of experience. So far so good! We’ll see how he pans out in the long season.
Can you speak to the overall team health?
Last year we had 7-9 players on the injury report TO START THE SEASON! this season seeing only 1-2 is actually a blessing. We survived a brutal season and I believe as a coach I made a major mistake in over working g the guys in practice. This year there will be a lot more monitoring health and focus on the mental side of the game.
