This defense is very talented and should be a top 10 unit in the league. The offense was one of the worst units in the league last season. The Offensive line is solid, but the receivers are poor and there is a rookie quarterback. Saquon is the clear best player. The division is winnable, but the offense will need to make big strides which starts with Saquon.
Washington Commanders: Has Miles changed?
Last time we saw coach Miles it was not pretty. This team has some very good pieces in a division that is very winnable if he puts it together. Week 1 was not what Commanders fans were hoping for but it is only one game out of 17. Commanders still have a chance to turn it around, attribute requests should be coming in to this team.
Philadelphia Eagles: Can the defense be a top 20 unit?
This is not asking for much. The Eagles led the league in total yards and were towards the top in points scored. The problem was the defense was last or close to last in every category. All the defense has to do is be below average and this team can make a run at the division. Some changes need to be made but this shouldn’t be a big problem to fix.
Dallas Cowboys: Can they just do what they did last year?
The Cowboys coach has a history of having one or two good seasons and then falling off. The roster is still one of the best, the division is certainly winnable again. Week 1 was not encouraging for this team, but they made win now moves in the offseason. This will be the best chance the Cowboys have left to make that deep run in the playoffs.
Detroit Lions: Are they ready for the next step?
The Lions are a talented roster with weapons on offense and defense. The record was 7-10 last season. They will have a 3rd place schedule. Last cycle we saw coach Fallen make playoffs in the later seasons. This cycle Fallen should have a good chance to do it early. We will see if keeping Goff was the right move and if he can lead them to the postseason.
Minnesota Vikings: Are QB Joe Milton and the young defense ready?
The Vikings had one of the best draft hauls in the league. Joe Milton looked great in his first start but projects to be a shaky QB. The defensive roster was maybe the worst in PML last year but adds some key pieces to the front 7 in Mike Hall and Dallas Turner. We will see if the defense can step up or if the offense will need to put the team on it’s back, not the best idea with a rookie QB.
Green Bay Packers: Is Jordan Love the guy?
The Packers were one of the favorites in the NFC going in to the playoffs, but took a loss in the wild card round. Love’s performance left plenty to be desired. The Packers did not move for a QB in the offseason so Jordan Love is back as the starter. The rest of the roster is still very talented but it will all come back down to the performance of Jordan Love.
Chicago Bears: Was staying at 2 the right decision?
Marvin Harrison was the best player in the draft, no doubt. The only downside was that Harrison was star development. The Bears answer to improving the defense was bringing in two 29 year old edge defenders who are still good right now but who knows if they will last to season 5. Trading the pick could have brought in plenty of draft capital to bring in young talent. This offense is loaded and should be a top unit in the league with Justin Fields, Breece Hall, Marv, DJ Moore, and Darnell Mooney. The defense should be improved as well but we will see in the long run if this move pays off. p
