The Giants get one of their two quarterbacks this week. Ewers will make his first ever start. In simming through the week 2 practice, the Giants have some injuries to discuss. Each week we will go over the injury report and practice focus players before the game and update the depth chart at that position.
Focus Players:
MLB Isaiah Simmons: Simmons got his upgrade this week while he was focused and it wasn’t what he was hoping for but it was a great roll. He got +2 zone, +1 acceleration, and +1 awareness. His acceleration matches his speed at 93 and his zone at 85, making him one of the best coverage linebackers in the game. He will look to gain a superstar development trait by the end of the season.
QB Quinn Ewers: Ewers started his first game this week after getting hurt in preseason. Jones had success last season versus the Eagles and Ewers will be looking to do the same. He will be focused on a lot this season in order to get the superstar upgrade that he was not given at the start of the season.
CB Deonte Banks: Banks also got his upgrade this week, but it wasn’t as exciting as it could have been. His goal of being a 99 speed, 99 acceleration corner will have to wait until at least this next upgrade. His zone, play rec, and tackle were all increased which just makes him a better overall corner.
Injuries:
QB Daniel Jones OVR – 2 weeks ( Broken Ribs)
Jones is still sidelined and will watch a rookie take over his spot on the team this week. If Ewers ends up looking and playing better than Jones, then he will take over the starting spot. Jones’ time may come to an end sooner rather than later.
LOLB Azeez Ojulari 81 OVR – 1 Weeks ( Abdominal Tear)
He will be back soon enough and will look to play opposite of his brother. Both of these brothers have been upgraded through attribute requests and look to get double digit sacks for the Giants this year.
LE Chandler Jones 79 OVR – 3 Weeks (Torn Labrum)
This was a terrible signing for the Giants organization. Jones has been hurt twice now for 3 weeks and were only in week 2. He got hurt the first game in preseason, and now the first game of the regular season. He is extremely fragile and will be cut when he gets healthy again.
