Transcript: Colts Head Coach Press Conference

What is the status of Ryan Kelly and when is he set to return?

Ryan's got a thing with his labrum or something. It's unfortunate but we try to preach preparation every single day so the next man can step up and perform. Ryan's going to miss a few games then we'll evaluate on a day by day basis.

Over your career, what makes a team better at not turning the ball over as the season goes along? What kind of things you need to emphasize? How much of it is coaching? How much of it is a mental part? Physical part?

Reducing turnovers is a critical focus for us, and it involves a holistic approach. It starts with coaching, where we emphasize the importance of ball security in our game plan and practice routines. Mental preparation is key, including analyzing past turnovers to improve decision-making.

The offense in general is having a bit of a slow start, but it’s early and there’s still a lot of talent on that side of the ball. So is your thought process that it’ll work itself out and the points will come or do you feel like you need to change something, fix something?

Our offense's slow start is definitely something we're aware of and actively working on. While it's true that it's still early in the season and we have a lot of talent on our offensive line, we're not just sitting back and hoping it'll work itself out. We're looking closely at our game plan, execution, and the ways we can leverage our talent more effectively. It's about finding the right balance and rhythm.
