How does the loss this week prepare you for the next game?

Absolutely, every loss, as tough as it is to swallow, presents another opportunity to improve. It's a chance to go back to the drawing board, analyze what went wrong, and make the necessary adjustments. We look at the areas where we fell short, be it execution, decision-making, or strategy, and use those insights to prepare more effectively for the next game.

It's about maintaining a growth mindset. The key is not to dwell on the defeat but to learn from it. This approach helps the team stay focused and motivated, understanding that every setback is a set-up for a comeback. So, as we gear up for the next game, we're using this loss as a tool to sharpen our skills, refine our game plan, and come back stronger. The goal is always continuous improvement, and every game — win or lose — contributes to that journey.

What were some of the contributing factors to the loss this week?

The key factors in our loss this week were pretty clear-cut. Primarily, our inability to stop the run played a significant role. When an opposing team commits to the run game and executes it effectively, it can wear down a defense and dominate the clock. We found ourselves in that exact situation, and it made for a challenging day.

Additionally, critical moments in football often come down to making plays on third down, and we fell short in that aspect. We had opportunities to get off the field on 3rd and long, but we couldn't capitalize. Failing to make those essential defensive stops when it mattered most allowed our opponent to sustain drives and ultimately controlled the game.

These are areas we need to address and improve upon. Stopping the run and being effective on third down are fundamental to a successful defense, and we'll be focusing heavily on these aspects as we prepare for our next game.

RB Josh Jacobs is so impressive, how hard he runs is so apparent. What else about his skill set makes him special?

Josh Jacobs has indeed been a standout for us. His hard-running style is evident and impacts every game he plays. Beyond his physicality, Jacobs brings a lot of other qualities to the table that make him a special player. His vision, for one, is exceptional. He's able to find and exploit gaps in the defense that many backs might miss. His agility and ability to make quick cuts without losing speed or power are also key attributes.

However, as you rightly pointed out, balancing our offense is crucial. Getting Davante more involved is definitely a priority. His route-running abilities, hands, and overall playmaking skills add a different dimension to our offense.

As for Jayden Daniels, his development is key to this equation. As he grows and gains more confidence in his passing game, it will open up more opportunities for both Jacobs and Davante. Trusting him to make throws and manage the game effectively is a step we're preparing to take. It's about finding that balance in our offensive attack, ensuring we utilize all our weapons to their fullest potential. As Daniels evolves and our trust in him solidifies, our offense should become more dynamic and unpredictable.
