What kind of player do you see when you look at Trevor Lawrence?

When I look at Trevor Lawrence, I see a player with exceptional talent and potential. He's got the physical attributes you want in a franchise quarterback – height, arm strength, and mobility. Beyond his physical abilities, what stands out is his football IQ. He reads defenses well, makes smart decisions, and has the ability to make all the throws required at the NFL level.

Lawrence also possesses a poise and maturity that's impressive for a player early in his career. He's shown resilience and the ability to handle pressure, both on and off the field. His leadership qualities are evident, and he has the kind of demeanor that can elevate the performance of those around him.

He's still developing, of course, and like any young player, there's room for growth. But the foundation he has – in terms of skill set, mental approach, and leadership abilities – positions him to be one of the top quarterbacks in the league as he continues to gain experience and refine his game.

Are you seeing the speed of the game starting to slow down for some of the rookies?

Yes, as the season progresses, we're definitely starting to see the game slow down for our rookies. This is a common development as young players gain more experience and become more accustomed to the pace and complexity of the NFL.

Initially, rookies often find the speed and intensity of the professional game a significant step up from college. But with more game time, practice, and film study, they start to adapt. They begin to read plays faster, anticipate actions better, and their decision-making improves. This is a sign of their growing understanding of the game and their ability to react more instinctively rather than having to overthink each play.

It's rewarding to see this growth in our young players. Their development is crucial not only for their personal careers but also for the strength and depth of our team. As coaches, we continue to support and challenge them to ensure they keep advancing and contributing to the team's success.
