What were the keys to the team’s victory this week?
Playing defense and not turning the ball over. We had to try our best to shut down the explosive DET offense. Luckily we only gave up 1 offensive TD all game. We are proud of our defense for doing that.
Can you summarize what it was like playing against the Saints last week?
It was extremely tough. Our offense is young and is around our two best players, Aaron Jones and Christian Watson. The Saints did a great job taking both of these players out of the game. Jordan Love was missing tons of throws too which did not help. We felt like we should have won this game by 21+ points due to us forcing so many turnovers but not scoring off of them. Once our offense is figured out our team will be a force to be reckoned with. The defense seems to be coming together now.
Can you talk about what it’s like to prepare to go against a player like Chris Jones?
It is tough. You have to go into this game thinking that the run game up the middle might be non existent. He is factor in the redone too because of his abilities. We had to make sure we find ways to score around him.
