Greeny is starting to figure it out
Reality or Overreaction: Reality
To start the season Greeny went 0-2 and Caleb had 1 TD and 3 INTs, the last 3 games against really good opponents he is 2-1 and Caleb had 6 TDs and 2 INTs. Caleb has been using his legs a bit more recently in the passing game. He faces the Jags next week who have the WORST pass defense in the league, so this could be a game where Caleb builds even more confidence heading into the hard part of the season. Who knew rookie QBs just need time to adjust.
HD has found defense
Reality or Overreaction: Reality
HD is known for his high scoring offense, but having a bottom 3 defense in the league which hasn’t brung much success. This season HD is coming different then I have ever seen before… he is playing GREAT defense. He’s played a few stacked offenses and still has a top 10 run defense and allows the 3rd least amount of points. He is sitting at 3-3 because of it. I think if he can play more consistently on offense this season he can really make a serious run at the playoffs.

Cammy is the best passer in PML right now
Reality or Overreaction: Reality
This might be a fact now. For the second consecutive season Baker is leading PML in passing yards and passing touchdowns. Cammy knows how to throw that rock now. We all thought he was only doing it because he had a QB with gunslinger, but now he is proving he is a legit passing threat.
The Vikings are finished
Reality or Overreaction: Overreaction
Everyone was quick to count Wimmy out and calling him “washed”, “cooked” or other things of that nature. He was once regarded as a top 5 player once and still is by some folks in the league. He made a few statement wins recently with his biggest one recently being the Texans. He just reminded everyone he is STILL HERE.

We were wrong about season 2 Codes
Reality or Overreaction: Reality
A lot of pre-season 2 predictions called for a little flip-a-roo in the AFC West. Mainly it was believed the Chargers would drop to the bottom of the division, while the Broncos and Raiders would climb the ladder and compete for 1st place. As we hit week 7 of the season, I think we’ve had a large enough sample size to say we were wrong. The Chargers took a step back in terms of roster talent entering the year, but still sit at 5-1 and are neck and neck with the Chiefs for the division lead. The played strength of schedule sits at .343, so sure one could argue they are a product of a light schedule, but you cant take away the fact they are winning games they are supposed to win. The jury will be out when the Chargers take on the Saints in week 8, and the Chargers could use this game to prove a lot of their doubters wrong.
Drake Maye will be the new Ryan Leaf
Reality or Overreaction: Reality
Rookie quarterback Will Levis, the 3rd overall selection in the draft is in serious danger of losing every part of him that was coveted out of college. Through 6 games, he has thrown 18 interceptions, which puts him on pace for a whopping 51 on the season. At this rate, he is projected to lose his superstar development trait by week 9 or 10 of his rookie year. The Commanders offense looks no better this year than they did with San Howell under center a season ago. If you remember, Ryan Leaf was the 2nd overall pick in the 1998 draft, and by 2001 he was out of the league. Maye seems to be on a similar path. The good news is, the Commanders sit one game out of 1st place in the NFC East. So not all will be lost if he can sling his way to a few victories, the Commanders could salvage the regression by giving the team a playoff berth.

You Can’t Blame a QB for Losing Games
Reality or Overreaction: Reality
Although there is a popular narrative about how playing with a bad QB might be the hardest it’s ever been in Madden this year, the fact of the matter is that at the end of the day, it’s the user that ultimately decides how to put that QB in the best position to win. Credit to Nef, as he has been spearheading this ideology. It’s nothing groundbreaking, but it is something that has been discussed amongst the league, and it really boils down to decision-making more so that execution. Of course execution plays a role, but there is much more to the game than a few missed throws a game, despite how pivotal that they can be.

It’s Wimdawg, Not Wimmy
Reality or overreaction: Reality
A lot of people have been knocking on Wimmy and his gameplay recently, and understandably so. I know that he holds himself to a higher standard, but some grumblings around the league think he doesn’t still have it in him. However, Wimmy has the ability to beat anyone he plays simply due to his playstyle. He keeps games close and has the ability to put his team in a position to win just about every game, and he is also developing a young QB. It’ll be interesting to see how this season folds, but I have faith that he will be able to put it all together more consistently than he did season 1.

NFCE is the worst div in PML
Overreaction or reality: Reality
With the surprising fall off of the Dallas Cowboys who are sitting at 1-5 coming off an L to the previous winless bengals, The NFCE looks wide open with the division leader eagles sitting at 3-3. The other two teams are 2-4, this is the only division In the league where the leader of it is even within a game of .500. The next worst is 4-2 from the Texans who were just 4-0 recently. Overall I think this NFCE race will be very interesting, with the eagles known for their choking and losing games they shouldn’t. Is this division playing so bad that he will win in spite of his flaws?
Jets clutch up and save their szn
Overreaction or reality: Reality
Heading into szn 2 the jets looked at their schedule and saw chargers, Texans, pats, bills, Seahawks, and rams. To go 3-3 in these games especially after starting 1-3 is huge. He could’ve easily been 1-5 but secured Ws against the rams & Seahawks. Jets will hopefully have their easiest game of the szn coming up against the jags in a must win. If jets don’t win these games you’re supposed to they won’t make the playoffs this year and after the jags they will see browns, cards, dolphins, 49ers, bills, and pats. Greeny and his jets are going thru and gauntlet this year and they have to win every game they are supposed to and split all the tuff games to make the playoffs.
