PML Reality Checks: JC underrated?; Burrow to lose development trait.

AFC West hasn’t lived up to its billed pre-cycle hype
Reality or Overreaction: Reality
At the start of the cycle, many believed the AFC West was the ‘premier’ division in the PML. How could it not be? The division boast 4 Super Bowl winners from our most previous cycle. Proven killer all with rings on their fingers. Looking at it today, do we see them as the most dangerous division in PML? Odds are most do not. The Chargers and Chiefs came out hot last season but collapsed in the playoffs. The Broncos and Raiders both sat at the bottom of PML and nowhere near the playoffs. This season, it’s more of the same with a slight improvement from Denver and Las Vegas. We all expected this division to be a 4 man race for the cycle and we are yet to see this happen. Could things change? Sure, but as of today, the division really has just 1 or 2 threats to win a Super Bowl if we still have faith in a depleted Chargers roster.

Bills are a threat to the Patriots in AFC East
Reality or Overreaction: Overreaction
The Bills are playing good ball, and each passing week I develop a little more respect and admiration for Beast competitiveness and playstyle. I do think they will be a perennial playoff team, but I think that will come at the wildcard position all cycle. As the reigning Super Bowl champions continue to develop their young roster, the team will only become stronger and tougher to beat. Could Beast prove me wrong? Quite possibly- but until further notice this may be a sneaky timeshare division headlined by New England

The Texans Injuries May Cause Them To Lose The Division
Reality or Overreaction: Overreaction
The Texans seem to have suffered big injuries in their offense which includes CJ Stroud, Brock Bowers, and Malik Benson. You could see how apparent this was when Ke played Hypemike’s Packers. However, there have been some possible rumblings around the league of how this may cause Ke to lose control of the AFC South. As much as I would like to see some competition there, I just don’t think it’ll be this year. The Tennessee Titans and Dlloyd are still rebuilding in their quest for Travis Hunter. Tbooty and his Jacksonville Jaguars have been struggling this season, and that is when they even play. The closest person at the moment to making this division a two man race would be CB and his Colts, but we have yet to see it from him consistently. I think he may have it in him, but we need to see it first.

Tbooty Needs to Pick Up the Slack
Reality or overreaction: Reality
Tbooty is someone that I think the league really likes having around and it was interesting to see what he was going to do this cycle with the Jacksonville Jaguars. However, we know he has had some personal issues arise off the field, and it also looks like he just doesn’t have the time at the moment with many missed games. It’s unfortunate, because I enjoy having him around myself, but I’m not sure how much longer this will be going as a result. As a league, we would love for him to continue to be here for the cycle, but we can be understanding of the fact that real life things come up as a result sometimes. We wish him nothing but the best, and we hope to have the Tbooty we love and know back soon.

Jc is underrated
Overreaction or reality: Reality
So far 20-6 in this cycle Jc has impressed with a top passing offense while winning, saints have been completely overhauled during this consistent dominating performance. They are -45.70Ms in the cap and some might call that cheating but I disagree, even though he has the most expensive team by far these wins still should count. The improvement from last szn offensively is impressive. The punts are down from 1.5 per game to 1.1. The same 1.3 field goals a game, And went from 3.7 TDs a game to 4.8. He is only gaining 50 yards more, so Jc is getting more efficient in his game and get over very comfortable. The defense has been mostly the same, which is an easily top 10 defense. JC just needs to make some noise in the playoffs and I think he will be talked about much differently.

Waddle trade was a win/lose
Overreaction or reality:Overreaction
There was some talk of this potentially being a win/win when the trade was made. Then we saw what the dolphins did with the assets along with their gameplay and most people settled on a win for nef and loss for Deebo on this trade, but frankly I disagree. I think adding waddle had taken nef away from his path to success of using this oline that’s built to maul people. Nef has struggled to find an identity, having a top 2 defense and bottom 8 offense szn 1 to come out with szn 2 with the defense in the bottom 12 and the offense is middle of the pack and 29th in rushing yards!! I understand the RBs have been hurt but the run game has been effective with anyone and elite with bijian. Falcons threw the ball 52% of the time szn 1, But have increased that to 61% this szn and the passing game just isn’t good enough to warrant that. Sitting at 3-5 nef and 0 momentum, nef is staring at another wasted season with this team and no closer to putting together this offense filled with studs to even an above average offense.

HD and the Eagles are the top team in the NFCE
Reality or Overreaction: Reality

The NFC East has been a back and forth battle to this point of the cycle, with Dramaman winning the division last season, but this year that looks to change. HD and the Eagles currently stand top the NFCE, while the reigning champ Dallas Cowboys have fallen to 2-5 on the year. Head Coach HD has the eagles playing very good, clean football led by their elite QB Jalen Hurts. Hurts is currently top 5 in total passing yards on the season, and has helped his team gain the lead of the division. Hurts is the key to success for this eagles team, if Hurts can play clean, efficient football, and add a threat to this Philly rush attack, the Eagles are a very tough team to play against. After the bye the Eagles will face a tough schedule, having to face off against Browns, Saints and Bears in the second half of their season. These will be great tests to see where the Eagles stand amoung PMLs top contenders
Is this the last we will see of XF Joe Shiesty?
Reality or Overreaction: Overreaction
As we saw last season, the QB INT regression is very real, and has already claimed the life of one Lamar Jackson. You’d think this would hit close to home for AFC North rival Cincinnati Bengals, but to this point if the season, Joe Burrow is on pace to throw almost 40 INTs, and join Lamar in h*** for the rest of the cycle. After a wake up call in back to back games throwing 2 and 3 picks, Goose has go back to the drawing board and change his scheme in order to change his QBs cycle. The Bengals need to focus on moving the ball on the ground, using the clock to their advantage, and keeping themselves in the game, instead of throwing INTs and taking them out. I believe Goose knows what’s best for this team moving forward and will do everything in his power to get that done on and off the field.
