What were the keys to the team’s victory this week?
We were able to keep Nick Chubb in check, which is always the #1 concern. Offensively Jaylen got off to a really got start to the game. He did have some rough patches as per usual, but when he was clicking today it was the best he's looked all season. Getting Puka back this week was huge.
Over your career, what makes a team better at not turning the ball over as the season goes along? What kind of things you need to emphasize? How much of it is coaching? How much of it is a mental part? Physical part?
We just try to simplify the QB position in our offense. Now granted there's nothing we can do about poor accuracy passes that go straight to the defense, but the read progressions are there for the QB to make on every play.
Are you seeing the speed of the game starting to slow down for some of the rookies?
We're definitely seeing some of the young guys pick up some of the slack. Rayshaun Benny has been a standout this season. What he's brought in the trenches next to Aaron Donald has been wonderful to watch. All these guys are still learning. Julian Fleming still has some duds. We've talked about Jaylen's scattershot accuracy. But the light can be seen at the end of the tunnel. Just this week Dylan Brooks got his first start in for the injured Jadeveon Clowney and exceeded our expectations .
