Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the newest series in PML led and written by your host Miles, the Washington Commanders! We’ve seen all sorts of comparisons be brought into PML with Mike bringing in his Avengers comparisons to players in the league, or a Santa Wish List. I figured I would make my own series, and what else to do it based around then some of the best classics to ever be given to us. Through this series I will be covering every division and comparing each team and user to a song and their artist, explaining why I think that team best fits their team for a variety of reasons: whether that be how there season as gone, or how they play, etc. So nonetheless, as you can see to kick off in the AFC South, here we go! (Credit to CB for the cover graphic).
Jacksonville Jaguars – TBandit:
TBandit… The One That Got Away. Is there much more to say? A quiet man this season, due to personal things going on but nonetheless when he has been present he hasn’t been the same TBandit we were once used to seeing. TBandit, once had a relationship with PML and just like the song and Katy talking about her own relationship it no longer exists. It faded and broke apart. One can hope he’s reunited with his true love, but for now it seems like Jacksonville is ready for a change.
Houston Texans – Keraun:
Keraun arguably the worst downfall in the AFC. After being a top 3 seed in the AFC in season one, with a rough base roster Texans team everyone anticipated that we would witness a powerhouse Texans team this second season as they got better in all aspects through the off season and the draft, but sitting at 6-7 with a few weeks left, outside looking in, it isn’t looking good for the Texans. It seems like the Texans allowed last season to get to their head as Rihanna said “It’s a thief in the night to come and grab you. It can creep up inside you and consume you” that seems to be exactly what might’ve happened to the Texans, living too much in last season and in a blink of an eye this year they’re looking at missing the playoffs with how the current standings are. Disturbia is the perfect song for Keraun, covering anxiety and confusion for Queen Rihanna that’s exactly what it is for the Houston Texans, their coach and their fanbase this season.
Tennessee Titans – DLloyd:
” Because when the suns shines, we’ll shine together. Told you I’d be forever, said I’ll always be your friend. Took an oath I’ma stick it out until the end, now that it’s raining more than ever know that we’ll still have each other. You can stand under my umbrella ” @DLloyd. You may be wondering how could anyone in PML relate to the song Umbrella of all, let me tell you… through the song Umbrella, Rihanna is talking about a partner that doesn’t have the same status as her, that they’ll shine together no matter the others success, rise together and fall together. That is exactly what DLloyd is doing with his beloved Titans team and in the AFC South. Despite DLloyd being laid back this season due to internet issues and couch problems, he currently is tied for the lead in the AFC South and top of the division. When he wins a game, those around him win a game. When he drops a game, those around him drop a game. The AFC South goes the same way DLloyd does. Really, we all want to see him win this division with how close he came last year. Despite all the external issues, outside of Madden DLloyd has his umbrella open and he is shining through the rain with his team, looking to make his first playoff birth of this edition.
Indianapolis Colts – CB:
“Rain over me, I’m rising so high Out of my mind, so let it rain over me I’m living my life, getting out of control So let it rain over me.” The song for a man who is seeking a new chapter in life, a new beginning. Who is hoping the rain will wash over all their problems and offer them a fresh start, which is exactly what CB and the Colts are looking for. Especially after the loss of quarterback Anthony Richardson. The Colts at 5-8, not officially out of the playoffs with how poor the division has been but just about there. Through the year, CB pulled off a couple upsets and dropped some games that he should’ve won, a team that is coming along slowly in the dark. This season in my opinion, CB needs to let the rain wash away and come out of the gates full power next season. Where if divisional play at this poor level continues, he could easily see himself being the coming out on top.
