It was tough not putting Daniel Jones here since he is the Browns QB, but my guess is he won’t be the starter for the whole season. We know Demercado is going to get the ball, and he scored a ton of touchdowns last season with goal line back. Emari will get work in the pass game as well on what was a playoff team last season and projects to be one again this season.
AFC OPOY: Raheim Sanders, RB Los Angeles Chargers
Sanders was a monster in the games he played last season, but I believe that was only 11 games. If he can put together a full season of production in this Chargers offense I think he can win this award. He did regress to normal but I think he should still be the lead back in this offense that will put up a lot of points.
AFC DPOY: Myles Garrett, Cleveland Browns
Garrett is the best edge defender in the league, and will make an impact in the run and pass game. He will get to rush the passer in obvious passing downs with the way this offense performs. If Garrett plays a full season he should be at worst a top-5 finisher for this award.
NFC OPOY: Bijan Robinson, Atlanta Falcons
If Bijan can stay healthy, and that is a big if, he should be a top finisher for this award. This offense has so many weapons, but Bijan should be getting the most touches, and finish with the most touchdowns. He is running behind a good offensive line as well, so if Bijan gets his touches, watch out. p
NFC DPOY: Dexter Lawrence, New York Giants
Dexter led the league in TFL last season, and if he can just add a few more sacks to his name I think he can win a DPOY. The Giants had a top tier defense last season, and Lawrence was a big reason why. The inside stuff ability causes major problems for defenses, and now his secondary is getting better which will give him more time to get to the QB.
AFC OROY Phil Mafah, New England Patriots
Mafah has a ton of similarities to Brandon Thomas from last Madden’s Chicago Bears team. He is a big back at 230 pounds, has 94 speed, and is a solid receiver as well. If Mafah is able to hold on to the ball and not have fumble issues, he will be a big weapon for this Patriots offense that produced well with Will Shipley last season.
NFC OROY: Jalen Milroe, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
This one came down to two NFC South QBs in Milroe and Maalik Murphy from the New Orleans Saints. Milroe adds a huge running threat to the Bucs offense. We have seen this offense put up big passing numbers before, and now they have added Amon-ra St. Brown, and Brandon Aiyuk. This team is going to put up points, and Milroe will be the guy at the center of it all.
AFC DROY: Abdul Carter, Cleveland Browns
DROY might be the hardest award to project, but Carter should be doing it all for this Browns defense. He is an off ball linebacker who should be a good blitzer and could snag a few interceptions. Carter will make an impact all over the stat sheet, and will be at the center of one of the top defenses in PML.
NFC DROY: Nick Emmanwori, Minnesota Vikings
Nick is a 6’4 safety that could play in the box or could play deep safety, and either way I think he will make an impact. The Vikings young defense is improving and has a good defensive coach at the helm. He has solid coverage stats and will be a versatile player in this Vikings defense.
