Top Player at Every Position

pQB: Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs, 99 Overall
This list is immediately cut down to all QBs with a velocity ability. That narrows it down to Mahomes, Burrow, and Herbert. Mahomes has hot route master which puts him at number 1, Burrow is a close second with fearless and the inside/outside deadeye abilities. The deadeye abilities are super useful, but the HRM ability allows for so much more to be done with an offense. Mahomes is also faster and has more throw power.

HB: Saquon Barkley, New York Giants, 95 Overall
The running back position is really a personal preference on what you look for from your back. I look for someone who can do it all, and Saquon is what I believe to be the best all around RB. He can run through people, he can run past people, he can juke, and he can be a solid receiver out of the backfield. Juke Box is also very tough to stop this year. Honorable mentions: Jahmyr Gibbs, Jonathan Taylor, Bijan Robinson.

WR: Tyreek Hill, Miami Dolphins, 96 Overall
Hill and Jefferson are my top two, but Hill’s speed is impossible to ignore. Yes his route running has regressed, but are still more than enough to get it done. Hill is also a monster after the catch with juke box. After this season it will probably Jefferson, but for now I am going with Hill for his all around threat. Honorable Mentions: Justin Jefferson, Jamarr Chase, DK Metcalf.

TE: Kyle Pitts, Atlanta Falcons, 96 Overall
Pitts is not only the highest overall, but also the most athletic with good abilities. He is even a ok run blocker. If Pitts was a receiver he would be one of the best in the game. Honorable mentions: George Kittle, Brock Bowers, Jaheim Bell.

OT: Tristian Wirfs, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 94 Overall
I’m not sure how much any of this really matters outside of a couple abilities. Wirfs has the best attributes of any tackle. Tunsil with threat detector is the only other tackle really in consideration. Threat detector is a super useful ability that always works unlike edge/secure protector. Honorable Mention: Laremy Tunsil.

OG: Wyatt Teller, Cleveland Browns, 87 Overall
This might be a hot take, but Teller probably has the two best offensive line abilities in threat detector and nasty streak. though he may not be the highest overall I think those abilities matter much more for an offensive lineman. Honorable mentions: Quentin Nelson (nasty streak), Chris Lindstrom (threat detector).

C: Creed Humphrey, Kansas City Chiefs, 92 Overall
Not really even close, best overall center, monster run blocker, only superstar center.

Interior Defensive Lineman: Aaron Donald, Los Angeles Rams, 94 Overall
I was so close to putting Dexter Lawrence here, but Donald still holds on to his top spot. He has inside stuff and no outsiders, as well as el toro. He is an all around player who is a force in both the pass and run game. He is the key to the LA Rams defense that has been known to come up clutch. Honorable Mentions: Dexter Lawrence, Jonathan Allen, Jordan Davis

Edge Defender: Myles Garrett, Cleveland Browns, 98 Overall
There are a lot of guys on the edge that are top tier pass rushers, but Garrett is the best run defender of them all. He has good abilities and can even play on the interior. Honorable Mentions: Micah Parsons, Nick Bosa, Maxx Crosby

Linebacker: Fred Warner, San Francisco 49ers, 98 Overall
Warner is definitely not the best run defending linebacker, but he is above average at that. Warner is also the best coverage linebacker by far. 87 zone, 79 man, lurker and mid zone ko. He makes it so you can either basically have 2 sublb or 2 linebackers with one basically being a sublb.

CB: Sauce Gardner, Baltimore Ravens, 99 Overall
It was tough to decide between Ameer Speed and Sauce Gardner, but I chose Gardner for his all around ability. He is a monster in man or zone which is why he was traded for the #1 pick in the first draft. Speed has 99 speed and deep zone KO, but does not have the elite zone coverage. Honorable mentions: Ameer Speed, Tariq Woolen

S: Tie: Minkah Fitzpatrick, Derwin James
Minkah is the best deep safety, while Derwin is the best box safety. Minkah has deep in and out zone KO as well as pick artist, he’s the perfect deep safety. Derwin is huge, and is a great run defender and man coverage player. Unfakeable is a great ability to have this year.
