Can you speak to the overall team health?
It's an infirmary at the headquarters. We have so many guys injured that are crucial to our overall production. We will need some guys to step up but overall it will be hard for our team to get on the right foot with so many guys being out right now.
What were your primary goals for the team during the offseason?
Our biggest goals for the offseason is to help with our defense. I think our offense was one of the top in the league. Could have been because we were behind most of the game, there is time to tell but we felt that we had to get better defensively. We've added some defensive pieces but we as an organization feel we are still a couple of pieces away to excite the scheme correctly. Hopefully we have a big showing by one of our newly acquired players from FA or the draft or we may have to go get a player to make an impact on the defensive side.
Which young player do you predict will break out this season?
I predict a breakout season from Shemar James. Being partners with All Pro linebacker Fred Warner we hope he is able to pick up things quickly. Currently he is injured, so that will change the speed of his readiness but we can't wait to see what he can do on the field.
