What were your primary goals for the team during the offseason?
This offseason for the Rams was all about creating a roster with depth. The turnaround of this team from the 2021 Super Bowl roster that went all in to win at the expense of the future, which is now the present, is still ongoing. Last year we had to simply plug in the best options with the assets we had to be starters now and hopefully for years to come. Now we have that partially established, this offseason was about giving our roster versatility for any situation.
How did your team address its biggest needs in the offseason?
We used money and draft picks.
Which position battles were most competitive during the offseason?
The wide receiver battle. We brought in a free agent in Mike Evans and a promising late round draft pick in Colby Bowman to increase the competition level in a WR room that needed it.
How did the team's leadership dynamics evolve in the offseason?
This is still a team where Aaron Donald and Cooper Kupp are the torchbearers, but last season was all about creating a culture for what's next. And young players like Jaylen Henderson on offense and Rayshaun Benny on defense are now leaders on this team and help set the culture for what we expect in Rams House.
