PML CLASSICS: AFC WEST

pBack with another edition of PML Classics. As we continue down in the AFC this time with the AFC West, one of the hardest divisions in the league. Let’s get right into it: Shoutout: Gaga, Adele, Polo and Usher!

As per usual, shout out CB for the cover art.

Denver Broncos – DK: p
What other song for DK, then a song by Goat G – or should I say Polo G. As the song says “Every day a battle, I’m exhausted and I’m weary.” which I feel like is the perfect way to describe the Broncos and what DK has had to go through. Taking on a ‘rebuild team’ with some poor contracts, regressing players and more downside than upside. We’ve seen this Broncos team beat up DK, to the point where he had to go into a retreat and turn off his microphone and camera for a series of games. However, after a rough season one we saw a bounce-back in season two where he made the playoffs. Season three is here, and we expect even better for DK to reach his ceiling with this team and dominate the AFC.

Kansas City Chiefs – Matigy:
The meaning of this song is the title. Paparazzi swarming your life and following your every move. In this instance, with Matigy being given one of the better teams in the game. A team you could argue is Top 5 off rip in the game. Great assets to start, great pieces for the future, etc. It’s a similar instance for Matigy, where groups of people in PML watch and follow his games and any poor performance results in constant bombarding. Some of these people are people who hate on him, because they can’t beat him. Big things are expected from Matigy with such a good team, and for the most part he’s lived up to expectations but we all know there’s more from him. As the song goes ” I’ll be your biggest fan, I’ll follow you until you love me. ” consider that the mindset of your hates, Matigy.
pLos Angeles Chargers – Codes:p
If you watch the music video, or listen to this song it talks about an overworked man – in this instance Usher. Who is looking to the night scene industry, and party life to get him motivated and remind him what the point of life is again. “Thank God the week is done. I feel like a zombie gone back to life.” is the perfect way to describe season one Codes. After nearly half his team (all starters went down with season ending injuries). From quarterback, to best wide out, to running back, to best defender, etc. You name it. Codes was put through it, but he survived. And two seasons later, overcoming regression/contract h***/injuries he is back and dancing on his feet after a good start into the third season of this edition.
pLas Vegas Raiders – KingMikep
But I set fire to the rain
Watched it pour as I touched your face
Well, it burned while I cried
‘Cause I heard it screaming out your name
Your name

So, for a song that’s about heartbreak – you may be wondering how it correlates to the KingMike and his Raiders. That’s simply because early into season three, it looks like yet another disappointing season. Someone who was accused by everyone season one to be tanking for a good pick to improve his team, as he’s known for being a top user but that wasn’t the case clearly because season two we saw a similar aspect. We miss the old Mike. This isn’t something anyone saw, and whether it’s just the game has passed Mike or something else I believe he can bounce back and recover from this heartbreak he has been going through this entire edition. We’re all screaming out your name Mike, as Adele would say. We want old Mike back.
