Season 1 Rookies, Where are They Now?

pPick 1: QB Bryce Young. Young started as a 74 overall superstar and is now an 89 superstar. He has developed in to a franchise QB with good abilities. Young has a 34-51 TD-INT ratio through 31 career games, but is likely the Panthers QB for the rest of Madden 24

Pick 2: QB CJ Stroud. Stroud began as a 73 star, and is now an 89 superstar. His progression has been impressive. Stroud led his team to a playoff berth in season 1 and now has some ok abilities. Stroud has a career 66-42 TD-INT ratio in 30 career games.

Pick 3: RE Will Anderson Jr. Anderson started as a 78 star and is now a 92 with that same star dev. Anderson has become one of the top edge rushers in the league attribute wise. Injuries have been an issue for Anderson but he does have 13 sacks in 19 career games (this could just be mymadden excluding games.)

Pick 4: QB Anthony Richardson 70->86, star dev. Richardson has about all you can ask for from a non superstar QB. 91 speed and 97 throw power. He has a career 45-58 TD-INT ratio with 1000 rushing yards as well. He seems to be much improved as a passer after season 1.

Pick 5: CB Devon Witherspoon 78->90, star dev. Witherspoon is a great #2 CB to have opposite of Tariq Woolen. He is up to 96 man coverage and has 80 hit power which is great for a corner. he has 10 career interceptions in 35 games, but when he gets his hands on the ball he is dangerous as he has 4 defensive touchdowns.

Pick 6: RT Paris Johnson Jr. 77->85, star dev. Nothing special here just solid development from a good OL prospect. He has turned in to a good all around blocker.

Pick 7: RE Tyree Wilson, 77->89 star dev Wilson has become a good and versatile defensive lineman who I believe plays a lot from the interior. He has 14 sacks in his career and has 2 defensive TDs.

Pick 8: HB Bijan Robinson, 81-> 95, ss->xf. Bijan has become one of the top backs in the league and has great abilities as well. Bijan has 3358 yards and 31 TD in 31 career games, as well as 763 rec yards and 7 rec TD. Bijan is one of the main weapons on a loaded offense.

Pick 9: DT Jalen Carter, 79->88, star->ss. Carter was the second highest overall rating coming out of the draft, and is now a force on the interior alongside Jordan Davis. Carter is up to 92 block shed and has 10 career sacks.

Pick 10: RT Darnell Wright. 74->79 star. Wright has developed to be a good pass blocker but lacks a ton of prowess in the run game. Lineman are tougher to develop as we know, but Wright may be more valuable than his overall suggests.

Pick 11: LT Peter Skoronski. 75->85 star. Skoronski has had some impressive development, and is one of the better tackles in the league. He is a top tier pass blocker with solid run blocking as well.

Pick 12: HB Jahmyr Gibbs. 77->90, star->ss. Gibbs might be the best elusive/receiving back in the league now with his speed, juke move, and catching. He has missed some games with injury, but is always a factor when on the field. He has 3347 total yards and 34 total TD in 27 career games.

Pick 13: RE Lukas Van Ness> 75->87 star->ss. Van Ness has become the guy that the Packers needed up front across from Rashan Gary. This defense is one of the best in PML and Van Ness is a big reason why. He has 27.5 career sacks and led the league(I think) last season with 17.5)

Pick 14: LT Broderick Jones 73->79 star. Nothing really stands out about his attributes, but he is a solid 4th/5th best lineman on a team.

Pick 15: RE Will McDonald 74->76 star. Essentially no progression at all for McDonald which is surprising given how much the rest of this team gets upgraded. He has 1 career sack.

Pick 16: CB Emmanuel Forbes 76->81 star. Forbes has become a solid man corner with good speed. He has 80 catching which led him to 8 INT last season and 11 in his career.

Pick 17: CB Christian Gonzalez 77->96, star->ss. The highest rated player from this first round and now one of the top CBs in the league. Gonzalez has 9 career INT but usually draws the assignment of the opposing teams best CB.

Pick 18: LB Jack Campbell 75->82 star. Campbell has good size and is a good run stuffing LB that even has good zone coverage. His athleticism is a little bit lacking but is a good LB to have on your team even if he doesn’t play every down.

Pick 19: LE Calijah Kancey, 73->89 star->xf. Kancey has been very impressive as a pass rusher from the interior of the Bucs defense. He has 15.5 career sacks and draws attention on the line. His run defense may be lacking but he is one of the top interior pass rushers in the league.

Pick 20: WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba, 78->86 ss. JSN stepped in to a loaded WR room as the 3rd option and is now the #2 behind DK Metcalf. He was over 900 yards his first year and over 1000 his second. He has great slot abilities and is an overall great slot WR for this offense.

Pick 21: WR Quentin Johnston 74->85 star->XF. Johnston just picked up his XF dev last week, but is now the #1 option in this Chargers passing game. He is a big body WR with good route running. He has 1881 yards and 21 TD in 27 games for the Chargers.

Pick 22: WR Zay Flowers 77->82 star. Flowers started as a gadget WR but has developed as a route runner to be the #1 WR in this offense, though still behind Mark Andrews. He has 1016 yards and 3 TD in 33 games

Pick 23: WR Jordan Addsion: 76->81 star. Addison was drafted to be the opposite WR from Justin Jefferson and has become a very good RAC WR. He has 1236 yards and 11 TD in 26 games

Pick 24: CB Deonte Banks: 76->88 star. Banks was a raw athletic CB and is now the top corner on a tough Giants Defense. He only has 6 career INT maybe due to his 59 catching, but can cover a lot of ground in the back end for NYG with 89 zone and 85 man.

Pick 25: TE Dalton Kincaid 76->84 star. Kincaid could be even higher if he did not lose his dev after season 1. The Bills believe in him a lot and traded away Dawson Knox because of it. He has 2281 yards and 12 TD in 27 games for Buffalo.

Pick 26: DT Mazi Smith 73->77 Star. Smith had some great building blocks to star with, 74 speed and 95 strength. His development has not been smooth, only up 4 overall with 78 block shed and below 70 for pass rushing attributes. He has 2 career sacks.

Pick 27: LT Anton Harrison 71->77 star. Harrison has become a good finesse pass blocker and that is about it. This Jags team has not developed a ton and Harrison is a good example of that.

Pick 28: LE Myles Murphy 72->84 star. Murphy was raw to start Madden, but is now a good power rusher with 86 power move. His run defense is poor but his is still a very athletic edge defender. He has 5 career sacks.

Pick 29: DT Bryan Bresee 71-> 83 star. Bresee has developed well as a run stuffer, but has dealt with injury problems. He is part of a deep Saints front 7, and has 6.5 sacks in 16 career games

Pick 30: ROLB Nolan Smith: 73->86 star->ss. Smith is an elite athlete off the edge, and is now a good all around player with a good ability in no outsiders as well. He has 11 career sacks, but broke out with 8 last season putting him at ss dev.

Pick 31: LE Felix Anudike-Uzomah 71->77 star. FAU has turned in to a solid defensive end that can play in a rotation for the Chiefs. He has 8.5 sacks in his career which is not bad for a depth rusher.
