Transcript: Commanders Head Coach Press Conference

Can you talk about what it’s like to prepare to go against a player like Jalen Hurts?

He's a dual threat. Those are always the hardest to stop, when you think you have him contained in the pocket he'll go up and throw a fifty yard bomb. If nothing's there he'll somehow break the contain and go for twenty yards on the ground, and leave three defenders in the dust behind him. So there's no stopping him, only slowing him down.

How has Teddy Bridgewater’s experience in the league helped the team so far?

We're a young team, so it's helped a lot with his presence. He knew his role when he signed the contract, he'd be here as a role model to these guys. We're off to a rough and slow start, but he's been here helping the team keeping level headed and composed through these tough times.

Can you speak to the overall team health?

It's not good. We're down multiple starters, both sides of the ball. Thankfully a few are projected to be back next week, but it's a lot of positions that we're down a man. Next man up mentality, and we have to make it work with what we have. We're hoping we can get all our guys back soon, and stay healthy. Go from there.
