Transcript: Commanders Head Coach Press Conference

What are your thoughts about the 49ers going into this week?

It's a team who's off to a slow start like we are. At this point in the game, big game for the both of us. We're going to go out there with our gameplan, hope we can execute and go from there. We need to play a clean game, get the stops and go from there.

Can you summarize what it was like playing against the Eagles last week?

Despite the score, it was a winnable game. We took off early with a 10-0 lead, and went away from what was working on both sides of the ball. We thought we had a bit of an advantage when Hurts went down – we hope he's okay going forward but Leary stepped in for the Eagles and led the charge. They're a tough team to stop, one of the better teams in the division.

Can you talk about what it’s like to prepare to go against a player like Nick Bosa?

This is arguably the best defensive linemen in the league, you have to probably put your whole offensive line to block him and pray still. He's that good. We have to be honest, he can't be stopped but we have to do our best and slow him down. We're going to try our best to do that.
