Back with another edition of ‘PML Meets NBA All Stars’ this time with the AFC West.
Diving straight into it, this division will be a little more stacked up with star caliber players unlike the AFC North.
SIDE-NOTE: This is just for fun, don’t get upset lol.
Matigy – Kansas City Chiefs: Luka Doncic
Luka Doncic and Matigy, I feel are one of the better combinations that I’ll have for this series. Doncic has been in the league for a few years now, and broke onto the scene instantly similar as has Matigy when he joined at the start of last Madden. Instantly making a name for himself and carrying it over to this year, where being in arguably the hardest division the game has to offer he is producing at a top level. Both offensively and defensively, similar like Luka this year as he makes another run for the MVP and a championship. This year Matigy has a team that can put him over the edge, unlike others and bring in a championship (again). Luka being in a similar position, but seeking his first championship with arguably the best team he’s had his whole career. Both are playing at their career bests, both can very well get the individual awards and the big one.
DK – Denver Broncos: Giannis Antetekounmpo
Another All-Star for another top user in PML. DK has his one championship from last season with the Rams, in similarity with Giannis. Both recently achieving their first championship, as DK received his last cycle and Giannis in 2021. Both are great defenders, and offensive minds. DK has shown how he can mix up a defense and fluster you in minutes with different looks and disguises. Both took two teams that haven’t seen success in a while and led them to a championship. DK took a Rams team, while Giannis took the Bucks. DK is doing similar this year, as after the first two years of rebuilding and retooling the aging and regressing Broncos, now is undefeated five weeks into the season and looking to add another championship to his belt.
Codes – Los Angeles Chargers: Anthony Davis
Now, this can be considered a funny and troll comparison but that isn’t the case. Based off what I’ve seen this cycle. Codes very well could’ve been our season one champion, and added a second to his arsenal however – this is where partially, the Anthony Davis factor kicks in. His whole team. Starters (stars at that) on both sides fell down due to injury. Star Quarterback, star defenders and wide receivers which gave Codes a gauntlet in the playoffs that he wasn’t able to overcome. However, when at his best ability wise and health wise. Codes is a machine, who can’t be stopped. Which we’ve seen as he won his Superbowl and earned his one ring, similar to Davis when he was at his best. Another ring is possible for Codes this edition as he builds his team and fills holes as they come with regression, as long as he can play to the top and stay healthy. Don’t be surprised if we see him achieve another Superbowl.
KingMike – Las Vega Raiders: Klay Thompson
Similar to Codes, this is no slight or shot to Mike. We know when at his best, he is one of the best in the league – similar to Klay Thompson, showing it with his past accolades and championships. If I was here when Mike was at the top and actively competing, he would’ve got the opposite splash bro – Steph Curry. However, this cycle despite being accused of tanking season one, has been a let down for Mike. He seems to lost love for the game but is making the most out of it due to the community and friendships he has. However, we know he’s capable of getting back to his best. Both are Klay and Mike, but that can only happen if THEY want it to.
