Can you summarize what it was like playing against the Seahawks last week?
Eye opening for our defense. Bo Nix absolutely torched us and that's unacceptable. Nothing against Bo, but we're trying to beat everybody so if Bo Nix is having perfect games putting 45 on us then what's going to happen when we play more elite quarterbacks. This is a team we shutout last season, so to give up 45 stings. We just need to figure out how to get our defense back to that elite level soon.
Can you talk about the development of Maalik Murphy so far?
Maalik has developed really well so far looking like an elite quarterback. He's been exceptional both passing and running the ball, truly a versatile player who's made our offense more productive and more efficient. He hasn't been turnover crazy, but we would like to see even more ball security as he develops and hits more passes in rhythm.
What is the status of Cesar Ruiz and when is he set to return?
Cesar should only be out one more game, maybe two since we don't want to rush him back. He's a very important piece on the line but his injury has let us evaluate our rookie Cole Hutson out of Texas and he's played well. The important thing is our line stays a cohesive unit that helps our offense produce and that has definitely been the case these first games.
