We have many users across the league in the Premier Madden League, and one thing that sticks out about it, is that it feels like anyone can beat anyone. Cook is the back-to-back Super Bowl Champion in the first two seasons of the PML Madden 24 cycle, but Burn and his Giants were able to beat him 20-3 last season. This was in a season where Cook repeated as a Super Bowl Champion with his Los Angeles Rams, and Burn and his Giants missed the playoffs. This is the parity you see in the NFL, as it has that any given sunday mentality. I believe the same can be stated in PML as well, as we have many upsets week after week, and that speaks to the competition across the league.
As of late, many users state that the top 5-10 users are all very close in skill level. According to the dark scrolls from the middle ages of PML, that was not always the case. However, PML is continuing to bring in more and more competitive users, and that helps everyone get better as a Madden player, as iron sharpens iron. At the end of the day though, PML is a content driven league. We want the league to be competitive, but we also want the league to emulate simulation style football and replicate what we see on Sundays, as we all watch 7 hours of commerical free football with Scott Hanson.
Two new users were added to the league this year with the new Bengals head coach in Silent, but we also added a new Jaguars heach coach in Water, or H20 as some like to refer to him. For whatver reason, some guys aren’t necessarily comfortable calling him Water. I not necessarily sure what the reasoning is behind that, but whatever works for them. Regardless, Silent was a very hyped user coming in, as many backed him to be competitve and give KMFO some problems in the AFC North, and he has gotten off to a rocky start. Some users note that he is in 8 madden leagues, which honestly sounds like **** on earth. Maybe he would find more success here in this league if he was able to devote more time to it, but it’s very early to tell whether or not he will pan out, as we are only 6 weeks into the season. We wish him all the best. Water came into the league, and not many were sure where he would stack up. However, I am familiar with Water, as I play in another Madden league with him, and I know that he can make some noise in this league. So far he is off to a good start, but only time will tell how he adjusts to the league.
It’s been a great season so far, and it’s going to be interesting to see how everything pans out. I think it’s too early to decide favorites for the chip, as teams are still establishing an identity for the season, but I’m exicted to see the developments of the Premier Madden League.p
