Can you talk about what it’s like to prepare to go against a player like Dexter Lawrence II?
It is a hellish task trying to game plan for Dexter. He is truly a monster in the middle. We have talked many times with the interior lineman on our plan to slow him down. With a player like him it's about limiting them, you really can't stop them completely.
What is the status of Caleb Williams and when is he set to return?
He will be back in two more weeks. He is trying to push to be back next week but we do not think he will be cleared by the doctors in time, the extra week will give him time to get back up to speed.
Over your career, what makes a team better at not turning the ball over as the season goes along? What kind of things you need to emphasize? How much of it is coaching? How much of it is a mental part? Physical part?
Ball control and safety have to be talked about early and often as you prepare for the season. Most of it is coaching, players will execute what you give them. As the great Coach Orion once said "Don't be careless, but don't be too careful either " is a mantra we try to live by.
