Transcript: Saints Head Coach Press Conference

What kind of player do you see when you look at Bryce Young?

Dual threat but he's at a disadvantage with how short he is. If he gets a clean pocket or a purposely shifted pocket he can make you pay, but get in his face and he's gonna panic. He made some great under pressure throws, but he also crumbled other times.

Over your career, what makes a team better at not turning the ball over as the season goes along? What kind of things you need to emphasize? How much of it is coaching? How much of it is a mental part? Physical part?

Getting into a playcalling and execution rythym. I'm not sure what happened last night, but against the Panthers we were just off our playcalling game in the first quarter and it showed with the 3 interceptions. Poor playcalling leads to poor execution, but we were able to turn it around thankfully.

What are your thoughts about the Panthers just in general as a team?

Super talented and super young. They put it together and they could contend. Our goal as a division rival is to beat them into a depression of never putting it together. I wouldn't say we succeeded even with that win. Needs to be all four quarters and we started terribly.
