What are your thoughts about the Bills going into this week?
The Bills are a really good opponent. Beast has already proven that he can play at a very high level at any given time. In season 1, he was a few plays away from a possible Super Bowl run and he has knocked off some of the best users in the league multiple times. He gets himself into trouble with turnovers and aggressive play, but when he can avoid those things than he can be very deadly. We are ignoring his record because it doesn't truly show how dangerous he can be when he is on. We except a great game and are hoping we can slow his offense down enough to come out with the win.
Are there any changes in the starting lineup or tactics for the upcoming game against the Bills?
Yes, we have a huge new addition to our team that we hope the city of Cleveland will be very excited about. We have officially called up QB Cam Jenkins from our developmental team in St. Louis and he will be making his first career PML start against the Bills this week. He had an incredible college career and we believe he has all the tools to become the best QB in the league. He took time in Evolve figuring out everything off the field and he put it together to break all the Evolve passing records and lead his team to a Super Bowl win in which he won the league's MVP award for the season. He is everything we are looking for in our franchise QB: size, athleticism, a rocket arm, a lightning quick release, and pinpoint accuracy. He can be a bit aggressive at times but we think he will have our offense rolling.
We also don't expect too much of a learning curve because he has been running our exact offensive system for 2 years in Evolve now, and we make a concerted effort to train our PML and Evolve rosters together during the offseason so Cam has been throwing with these guys dozens of times and should be able to hit the ground running.
Were there any standout performances or key moments in the game against the Dolphins?
Evan Stewart put the entire team on his back last week against the Dolphins. He came back from a 4 game absence following a very impressive start to his career with our team, and he certainly made up for the games he missed in this one. He made 12 receptions for over 220 yards and 4 TDs. He played everywhere on the field thanks to the absence of Amari Cooper and Donovan Peoples-Jones. He made big plays in the slot, at X, and at Z. Working the short, intermediate, and deep areas of the field, he displayed the ability to do it all and run every route in the route tree. It's just not the level of maturity and confidence you usually see in a young rookie, and it makes us so excited in our building to witness what kind of player Stewart can become. Now with Amari returning to the lineup, it's on our coaches to figure out how to keep him involved the way he has been without taking away from the opportunities of Amari who was the best WR in the league last season
