In retrospect, what would you have done differently against the Bills?
The biggest mistake we made for sure was keeping Cam Jenkins in the game along with other starters at the end. We just didn't work the math of a blowout differential due to only have 31 points, but thanks our defense's performance, that still put us in the 28+ category. It was a stupid mistake but we can only learn from it.
The other play we really wish we had back was forcing the throw into the endzone with 8 seconds left in the first half when already in easy FG range. We had an easy 3 points which was important since the Bills received the 2nd half kickoff. We subjected ourself to a potential swing of momentum when clinging onto a 21-3 lead. Especially the playcall was dumb, which was essentially the same concept we got wide open on the previous play but failed to get the WR's feet down in bounds.
What did you learn about your team’s capabilities from the matchup with the Bills?
We learned that when our defense is playing their A game, they can shut down any passing attack in the league. Josh Allen has been tearing up defenses for 3 seasons in PML but we held him to under 200 yards passing and no TDs. Only 3 points allowed to one of the league's best offenses is a mighty accomplishment. However, we need to keep building on that going into this week.
Were there any standout performances or key moments in the game against the Bills?
Cam Jenkins really stood out for us in his first game up with us from Evolve. He built up such a reputation of being one of the top 10 QBs in football regardless of league, and now that he is with us on the Browns he can really prove that true. He made a big step in that regard as he was nearly flawless outside of one forced throw in the Redzone at the end of the half. Other than that, he was accurate on every level of the field and got the ball out of his hands with a lightning quick release. The coaches held him on the field longer than they were supposed to which has led to a 2 game suspension, but we are confident in everything DJ has shown so far this season
