Reporter: With the Texans one win away or a jags one loss away from clinching the division . Coach Ke has made good on his promise to start resting guys. This upcoming week against the chiefs the team announced Star Wife receiver Malik benson would be watching the game from the sidelines in sweats. I caught up with the old ball coach to get some insight to this decision.
Reporter: So coach sitting Malik in week 15 ? What went into that decision?
Coach: Well boo Malik has proved to be a workhorse for our offense. We wouldn’t be in this position without him . But going forward we need to strive for balance if we want to make a run so it’s time start developing guys like Kaden Saunders and Dominick Blaylock. Both of whom have lost games for us this year. It’s time for them to grow up.
Reporter: Out of Dominick Blaylock and Kaden Saunders who do you have more confidence in ?
Coach: I would probably go Kaden just because he can catch better that the moment. He has decent speed and great athleticism. The thing about Dominick though is while he can’t catch a lick he is 94 speed 96 acceleration. 91
COD 95 agility.
Reporter: What does Malik think about sitting against the chiefs ?
Coach: Listen Malik is a competitor so I’m not gone lie i had to do some convincing. But assuring him he already had AFC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR, made him feel at ease
Reporter: Well sir did you tell that he has moved into the MVP race ?
Coach: H*** nah lmaoo shhhh keep that to yourself boo.
Reporter: Lol Ok sorry Who else do you think will be sitting ?
Coach: Will Anderson, chase young and Derek Stingley .
Reporter:Ouch that could be rough on defense ?
Coach: It ain’t the size of dog in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the dog!
