NFC South Offense Comparisons

Quarterbacks
Panthers Bryce Young: 91 Ovr
Saints Maalik Murphy: 81 Ovr
Buccaneers Jalen Milroe: 79 Ovr
Falcons Jaxson Dart/Max Johnson: 73/68 Ovr
Conclusion: The Panthers had rookie superstar Bryce Young and he’s progressed very nicely despite three consecutive losing seasons. Maalik Murphy is in 2nd far behind with Milroe just behind Murphy. The Falcons QB situation is atrocious though as they value animations over attributes and won’t be returning to the playoffs this season behind the pair of gunslinging rookies who just aren’t ready. Bryce’s biggest advantage is the rest of the division’s QBs stuck at normal dev.

Running Backs
Falcons Bijan Robinson: 96 Ovr
Panthers Braelon Allen: 89 Ovr
Saints Eric Stork/Kendre Miller: 86/83 Ovr
Buccaneers Rachaad White/Roc Taylor: 86/82 Ovr
Conclusion: The whole division is fairly strong at RB but it’s very easy to develop running backs so that’s not surprising. Bijan is the clear and far away leader with the speed, size, and abilities to make any player productive. Braelon Allen is also very nice, almost like a worse version of Bijan just a bit more of a bruiser. The Saints and Buccaneers running backs are nice tandems but nothing special.

Wide Receivers
Buccaneers Trey Palmer + Amon-Ra St Brown + Brandon Aiyuk: 84/92/88 Ovr
Saints Chris Olave + Johnny Wilson + AT Perry: 93/82/80 Ovr
Falcons Jaylen Waddle + Ladd McConkey + Tyler Boyd: 93/77/81 Ovr
Panthers Tez Walker + Xavier Legette + Bru McCoy: 79/76/73 Ovr
Conclusion: While Palmer remains the most productive on the Buccaneers, they added two quality wideouts to solidify their core as the best all around. The Saints and Falcons are pretty much in the same spot with an elite first option and two solid options around them. The Panthers traded away their best WRs and are left with young explosive talent, but far from a good unit.

Tight Ends
Falcons Kyle Pitts: 97 Ovr
Buccaneers Jaheim Bell: 84 Ovr
Saints JaTavion Sanders: 84 Ovr
Panthers Munir McClain: 81 Ovr
Conclusion: Jaheim Bell, JaTavion Sanders, and Munir McClain are all very similar in their ratings and their lack of dev and versatility. Bell and McClain have 90 speed and Sanders only has 86 but they all are reliable quality options. Kyle Pitts, though, is special. He’s the tallest and fastest and best and has good abilities. He really completes the skill positions for the Falcons and is probably the best TE in PML.

Offensive Line
Buccaneers Tristan Wirfs + Company: 95 Ovr + 86.4 Avg
Falcons Chris Lindstrom + Company: 96 Ovr + 85 Avg
Panthers Ikem Ekwonu + Company: 90 Ovr + 84.4 Avg
Saints Erik McCoy + Company: 85 Ovr + 81.8 Avg
Conclusion: 4 Really solid offensive lines but the Saints clearly the worst without a superstar linemen who can lead the unit. All 4 offensive lines have really good depth too behind their top 5 so the rankings came down to who’s the best and it’s a top 2 of Bucs and Falcons followed by the Panthers easily in 3rd and the Saints in last but with a still solid unit.
