Saints
Maalik Murphy
QBR = 65.00 (Very Good PML Starter)
Average Air Yards Per Completion = 9.97 yards
Effective Completion Rating = 61.55
TD Rating = 26.43
INT Score = 14.89
Sack Score = 8.09
Maalik Murphy is obviously head and shoulders above the rest of his division at QB. He is one of the top passers from the pocket in the league, and this is not even including the incredible production he has had on the ground as well. His ability to push the ball down the field at almost 10 air yards per completion while maintaining a high TD to INT ratio is what stands out the most.
Panthers
Bryce Young
QBR = 37.16 (Below Average PML Starter)
Average Air Yards Per Completion = 7.66 yards
Effective Completion Rating = 47.31
TD Rating = 15.23
INT Score = 21.54
Sack Score = 3.85
Bryce is coming along nicely in his development. Not many would probably think that JT has a better passing attack than Nef and Cammy, but right now, it is at least more efficient. His Effective Completion Rating trumps the other 2 in his division and his sack score is top 5 lowest in the league while also having a higher TD rate than Milroe.
Falcons
Jaxon Dart
QBR = 35.78 (Below Average PML Starter)
Average Air Yards Per Completion = 7.25 yards
Effective Completion Rating = 44.11
TD Rating = 18.54
INT Score = 20.90
Sack Score = 5.97
If these were stats from week 6, Dart might be number 1 in the league. But instead he sits in the bottom 10 and this is credited to his low air yards per completion paired with a completion percentage under the league’s average. A high INT score and modest TD rate doesn’t save his conservative passing style.
Bucs
Jalen Milroe
QBR = 32.90 (Below Average PML Starter)
Average Air Yards Per Completion = 7.17 yards
Effective Completion Rating = 44.94
TD Rating = 13.03
INT Score = 17.83
Sack Score = 7.24
For someone who is as pass-heavy as Coach Cammy tends to be, I was surprised at this number. It also has to be mentioned that Milroe is going through normal rookie pains of having lower ratings and he’ll only get better. Another thing that must be mentioned is that Milroe is very effective on the ground with his speed, so his QBR doesn’t paint the full picture of what he brings to the offense. No stat is horrible for Milroe, he doesn’t have a super high INT score or sack score. Its the very modest numbers for his TD Rating nd his Effective completion Rating that hurt him.
