PM CLASSICS: NFC WEST

Welcome back to another edition of PML Classics, this time we leave the AFC and enter the NFC starting us off we have the NFC. Where we look and compare users within each division to a hit-classic song that’s from that 2000s – 2010s range. Today we’ll be covering Z (Seahawks), Que (Cardinals), Rams (Cookie) and CPU (49ers).

Before we dive into things, this is just my opinion and something for fun – so don’t get mad for no reason. Thanks.

Shoutout CB for the graphic cover, per usual.

Seattle Seahawks -Z:

The song ‘Maps’ by Maroon 5 talks about Adam Levine (the lead singer) attempting to find and retain his relationship that he ruined. Now, I’m not saying Z is a heartbreak but he is to the Seahawks fanbase. So far through this cycle of Madden, Z has shown that he can compete… in the regular season. Dominating and making the playoffs every year, and this season seemingly having the division on lock to get a home game (with the possibility of home field advantage through the playoffs in play still) but can Z follow his map and make it to the Superbowl, or will his map lead him to a wildcard exit? Of course I’m rooting for Z, but looking at history – it isn’t on his side but he is too good of user, especially at the level he’s making to not making it to at least the NFC Championship game. If Z can’t achieve that, he may lose his fans in Seattle and struggle to retain them as well as the respect of some through PML as a user. So, we’re hopeful the map Z holds leads him to the glory lands and everyone will be happy.

Los Angeles Rams- Cook

If we’re being honest, based on how this cycle has gone. It’s Cooks house and we’re just living in it, as Cook has manager to lift the Lombardi trophy every season that it’s been offered. So, in reality if anyone else whether that be in the NFC or AFC wants to stand a chance, they have to more than likely go through him at one point or another. It doesn’t matter if you’re home or away, it’s Cooks house until proven otherwise. Over the seasons so far, we’ve seen points where Cook seems to go through a rough spell of games and suddenly people count him out but when it matters most he’s there in the playoffs and making that deep run. He looks to lift his third Superbowl of the cycle. To once again hope to pop the champagne and tell us as Flo Rida did in the song ‘mi casa es tu casa’ – meaning, my house is your house.

Arizona Cardinals – Que

To describe Que, this was probably the best song to use. In the first season of PML, we saw Que struggle and wind up with a couple top draft picks as he seemingly set his team up for a successful season two – where he made the playoffs and we expected him to continue to go head to head with Cook, as well as Z and the entire NFC to fight for a shot at making the Superbowl and show us why the NFC West is arguably the toughest and most competitive that PML has to offer but this season… we haven’t seen that, we haven’t see Que since that ‘last Friday Night’ where he lost in the playoffs and seemingly hung up the sticks and resorted to having fun in real life, working, partying, and doing anything but enjoying Madden. He popped into the chat a couple times, and won a couple games but we haven’t seen much content from him and seemingly he looks ready to move on from this Madden and continue enjoying life. Que, we miss you.

San Francisco 49ers – CPU

As we prepare to enter the last week of the regular season, the San Francisco 49ers sit without an owner (after already going through two this season) with CEO stepping away and ‘AB’ coming in for a couple games, saying he won’t throw more than ten picks and then leaving – all within a span of a week. The 49ers are in rough shape, after minimal progression from previous owners and a few questionable trades it’ll be a task for whoever takes over (and hopefully sticks around). So far, it seems to have been a probably to find a suitor – so San Francisco remains lonely and without a coach that is willing to fight for them have them compete alongside some of the most competitive players in the league, being in the same division as them.
