What is the status of Rob Havenstein and when is he set to return?
Rob's got some old bones in his body. He's got a minor bruise but he's milking it. So he'll be held out for week 1 and then be back next week.
Did you scout C.J. Smith before the draft? If so, what stood out about him?
Yea, it was hard to miss the guy that ran a 4.24 40 yard dash. We all knew from then that CJ Smith would be a top pick in the draft and would be gone way before our first draft pick at #31. I think the 9ers made a great move to bolster their receiving core. Now you have a deep threat to go along with the great route running ability of Devante Adams that you don't want to guard one on one.
Which new player are you most excited about and why?
We're really excited to see our new defensive line with the addition of Brian Burns. This might be AD's last ride, and we've built a great group around him with Byron Young, Benny the Bull, and now Brian Burns. We want to make QBs nervous before the game even kicks off thinking about Brian Burns being added to this group.
