What are your thoughts about the Panthers going into this week?
They are a very good team. We know that whatever defense we see is not the true defense. This coach is known for disguising blitzes and defensive schemes. We have to make sure we stop the run as well because they probably have some good running backs on their roster.
Can you summarize what it was like playing against the Jets last week?
It was a great game but we just could not stop their offense at all. It just felt like a shootout. Madden gave us our chances to break away and take a lead but we just fumbled it. Jordan Love threw an Interception he should have never thrown as well too. The game was on a silver platter for us, we just did not execute. That is what cost us the game.
Can you talk about the development of Miguel Mitchell so far?
This guy is an absolute monster. He can play in the box, he can play coverage, he can cover Tight Ends and Receivers. This guy really does it all. We have a ton of rookies starting on our defense and they're absolutely balling out. Our GM took a chance on these young guns and it seems to be paying off so far. The great thing about our defense is the only way they can go is up. We have a couple veterans but the rest of these guys are only going to keep getting better. Miguel is at the forefront of our rookie class on defense.
