How has Tyrann Mathieu’s experience in the league helped the team so far?
Tyrann's impact has been immediately positive. He's a vocal leader who brings championship experience and a winning mentality. He communicates effectively on the field, his knowledge elevates the entire unit, and he's already making a difference on the field.
The offense in general is having a bit of a slow start, but it’s early and there’s still a lot of talent on that side of the ball. So is your thought process that it’ll work itself out and the points will come or do you feel like you need to change something, fix something?
We acknowledge the slow start offensively. We have the talent, and it's about execution. We're evaluating everything, scheme, personnel packages, and individual performance. Adjustments will be made if needed, but right now, our focus is on getting everyone on the same page and building offensive rhythm. The slow start definitely demands our attention, but we're keeping team morale high. We remind everyone to focus on what we can control – effort, execution, and continuous improvement. We believe in this group, and we're confident the points will come.
Some would say your roster is one of the better teams in the league. Would you agree with that? Do you see any weaknesses in your team as you self-scout?
We've definitely built a strong team, but there's always room for improvement. And as you can see, paper doesn't put on pads, otherwise we'd be 3-0 and not 0-3. We need to see how the young talent develops on offense, and solidifying the defensive line depth is a priority. Our focus is on making sure every position is championship-caliber.
